Willys Jeep Vintage 1951 SCAD Teardrop Camper Trailer overlander 4x4 - USED
I am selling my Vintage 1951 SCAD teardrop trailer; I bought it about six years ago and rebuilt it to how it is now; I only used it three times to camp in the Mojave desert/ Amboy. It has been sitting in my garage. . time to sell.
LENGTH - 10.5 FT (126") from hitch to tail; the last picture shows all the dimensions; Fits two Adults; I am 6" tall and weigh 230lbs and me and my wife fit in there good :). Length inside when laying down is 72.5". overall width is 63.75" (please see picture of dimensions).
TIRES - The tires are brand new Willys Jeep NDT 600-16; they have less than 700 miles on them. (3 trips to Amboy). Vintage style to match my jeeps.
AXLE - brand new; I ordered a brand new axle when I bought it; I installed it and it runs excellent on the freeway; all internals are brand new; less than 700 miles on it.
LEAF SPRINGS - brand new leaf springs; brand new U bolts, brand new shackles
FRAME - was reinforced with thick metal beams to handle any off roading that you might want to do; (I never went in the dirt with this trailer).
HITCH - 2" ball
PROPANE TANK - Vintage GREGGS propane tank original to the trailer. it holds gas; works.
STOVE - it works, I tried it when I originally bought the trailer and it fired right up when it was hooked up to the GREGGS propane tank; I have since unhooked it to rebuild the old lines. . but never completed it.
BED - is a brand new bed I bought at Target that fits inside the trailer exactly. . (I got lucky). The bed is brand new; nothing wrong with it. Very thick, and very comfortable to sleep on.
DOORS - Both work excellent; they close and open with the latch; I have the keys to lock it up when not in use; the windows are vintage 3 pane crank open/close windows original to the trailer; both crank work excellent; both door windows work excellent; behind the windows are screen/ both screen are in excellent shape - no holes,,, so you can open the windows and no insects will be able to go inside the cab of the trailer. brand new cool vintage style curtains on each door.
INSIDE CAB - Inside the cab where you sleep is in good shape; there is not much inside or anything; blank canvas to what ever you want to do in there. . paint; or picture of stars on the ceiling. .etc
LIGHTS - tail lights are brand new LED; trailer lights wires is brand new-hooks up to your vehicle using the common 4 spade connector; new side reflector lights; I do not have a battery in the trailer; I do not have any lighting inside the cab; no lighting in the galley
GALLEY - Door opens excellent; it has brand new springs; has new locking knob latch with keys (I had it keyed to match the cabin doors). I put up some cool vintage willys jeep art signs; stove works, but not hooked up; has two big storage spaces underneath the stove with cabinet doors. two cool bottle openers.
ROOF - in excellent shape; see picture.
PAINT - I touched it up when I bought it; it needs a little touch up on the rear left area -see picture.
FENDERS - Fenders are brand new; in excellent condition; no dents. no rust.
PAPERWORK - I have the pink slip in hand; I have the registration in hand.
IN SUMMARY - This is a beautiful teardrop trailer that I added my own little touch to; It is licensed and registered; it will hook right up to your vehicle right now and is ready to camp; It has held up through the years since 1951; the siding is in good shape; roof in excellent shape; needs a little TLC, and a good home. it runs down the highway freeway speeds with no problem.
