1979 VW Rabbit Mk1 SCCA/WRL/GLTC/Champ/NASA/Vintage race car. Two time SCCA Midwest Divisional Regional Champion, current lap record at MPH, past lap record holder at Heartland Park. This car is legal to race in SCCA ITC/WRL GP4/GLTC/Champ Car Class A/NASA ST6/Vintage . The car can be competitive in SCCA H Production with a bump to the compression ratio and 13 inch slick tires. With upgrades to the engine/trans the car could be a fun SCCA GT Lite racer. 1.6 liter w/K-Jetronic, porting to SCCA IT specs. G grind cam, Header w/straight exhaust, oil cooler, undersize crank pulley for water pump, new thermostat. 4 speed w/welded 3.67 diff. Hawk front pads, recent new rear brake shoes, braided brake lines front and rear. 100% new bespoke wiring harness including new battery cables and battery (5/20). New coolant and oil pressure gauges, AutoMeter Pro-Comp II Memory Tach, Mil spec switches. Professionally built cage with X in main hoop, X door bars plus added roof and windshield/dash vertical bar. Cage fully gusseted, seat mounts built into cage. Kirkey Halo Seat with shoulder supports, FIA padding, SafeCraft 5 pound fire system w/three cockpit spray nozzles, Pyrotec SFI 5 point belts good through 12/20, New SFI window net. 12 gallon ATL fuel cell. Convex center mirror. New windshield 5/20. Bilstein coil over front struts with Carrera springs, Carrera adjustable rear shocks with Eibach springs. Adjustable rear sway bar. Front camber plates, Rear camber shims (plus four spares for changing the rear camber), Wheel stud conversion, H&R front wheel spacers. Four 15 inch wheels with good 205/50/15 TW200 tires, Two sets of 13 inch wheels with well used Hoosier R6 185/60/13 tires. Front spoiler with small splitter. New spare parts: L&R Axles, New spare front wheel bearing and hub, Two sets of new spark plugs, New clutch disc, New spare front and rear springs, Two New CV boots w/clamps and grease, New misc small gaskets. Used spare parts (all used parts are GOOD and can be installed in order to complete a weekend of racing): upper and low radiator hoses, Bosch fuel pump, distributor, rear wheel bearings, Front inner and outer tie rods, rear brake shoes, OEM crank water pump pulley, alternator, transmission mounts (front and drivers side), Lug nuts and OEM lug bolts. Misc hardware. Current SCCA Log Book with 2020 annual tech. Will also pass WRL, GLTC, Champ Car and NASA annual tech.
