1969 VW Dune Buggy stored inside a garage for over 30+ years. Owner built in the 1970"s, based on a "69 VW bug chassis and running gear with a "Glitterbug" fiberglass body kit. Owner drove it until 1988 when it was stored in his garage until now. Owner suffered a stroke 3 years ago and is now selling his house and also the Dune Buggy. As a long time friend, he asked me to sell it for him. Original title is lost, but a 1988 CA registration of the "69 VW was found. California DMV says the "69 VW is recorded as non-op and a duplicate title with transfer to new owner can be obtained from the DMV with form REG-227 filled out and signed by Owner (current registered owner) and Buyer (new registered owner). Buyer is responsible for the cost of new registration. Dune Buggy is not running, battery removed, and needs some work, but looks like VW running gear is all there and includes extra parts in photos, including headlights, towbar, extra carburetor, and VW repair books, etc. Tires look good except front right tire has a leak and there is some minor fiberglass body repair that was done to the left front fender. Buyer responsible for pick-up or shipping and the cost of registration. After payment, seller will provide buyer with form REG-227 completed and signed by registered owner. Sale is as-is.
