Vehicle description
Vintage Scotty Camper 1967. You are looking at my 1967 Serro Scotty Sportsman Camper. I"ve had this camper for about 15 years, I never had a chance to use it to go camping, but my daughter used to play in it, just like a little playhouse. All the mechanical issues have been removed and repaired or replaced. A new electrical 2 breaker panel has been installed, with outlets for the fridge and an outside outlet. There are 2 power strips installed inside, and 2 of the original lights. There"s a new outside connector and line. No more scary gas appliances in this camper. The propane lines to the gas lamp, fridge and heater have been removed, and a new line to the new stove installed, with a new tank and regulator. No pilot for the stove, it uses an automatic lighter. All the external lamps are new LED, and draw very little power. I have installed new LED lights inside, and converted the gas lamp to LED, it still looks original. A new roof vent installed, with a 12v powered fan. The internal lights are powered by a small sealed battery, it lasts for quite a few hours. I have not done anything with the toilet, it is still in place. It seems most of these campers eliminate the small bathroom and use it for storage. The tires and bearings were replaced a few years ago, and only have about 50 miles on them. I recently painted it to match my 1965 Ford F100 ( Truck NOT included, sorry), and polished up the front & rear aluminum panels, installed new Scotty decals and fixed the windows. All the aluminum trim was removed and polished up. All of the external square drive screws were replaced with stainless square drive screws, about 500 or so, I lost count. It needs new cushions, some drapes and a mini fridge, but I figured I would let the new owner pick out their colors. It tows very nice down the road with my F150, I"m sure most SUVs would have no problem pulling this. The camper sits level with the top of the ball at 15 inches. I believe it weighs around 1300 pounds. I have a dolly for the tongue and I can walk it around pretty easy on smooth concrete. I"m selling it because I just don"t have time to use it, and I would like to see someone enjoy this fine vintage camper. Come pick it up and tow it away. (It is a 1967, ebay will only let me list 1964) Good luck
