Vehicle description

CLASSIC 1972 KENWORTH K-100 CABOVER COE TRUCK
Neat old classic truck. Nice shape for the year and being un-restored. These truck look awesome when fixed up whether it"s a high end restoration or just some nice stacks and rims. These are popular for restoration and have high resale value. Here are some details on the truck. I have more pictures I can send. This has a clear title and the title matches the VIN tag on the truck. I think the keychain is the original stamped "72 keychain too!
MECHANICAL
This truck has a small cam 350 cummins turbo diesel inline six cylinder. 13-speed eaton/fuller manual. transmission with overdrive. It has a jake brake. Maybe all these engines do but one guy said some of them didn"t so I thought I"d specify that it did. I drove it 20 miles after i bought it. The engine runs nice. It has no leaks. It has good oil pressure and does not overheat. It has no fluid leaks or air leaks. The oil has no water in it and there is no oil in the water either. The truck needs tires. It drove ok, but the tires are bad and I could tell that was the problem. The fronted feels tight and there is no slack in the steering. The clutch works nice and the transmisssion also. I tried all gears in high and low and overdrive also. This stuff works: headlights, cab lights, heaters, heater selectors, window fan, air horn, jake brake, airride seat, parking brake, wipers, etc. etc. The truck needs the turn signals fixed. I Think they primarily need a few new bulbs and a flasher. Heaters work very good. The exhaust stack needs repaired. It had a single stack originally but it got lost at some point. Rear suspension is Reyco spring type. Front wheels are 22.5 one-piece. Rear are old 20" split rims. I just saw a place that sells nice kenworth style aluminum wheels pretty cheap.
INTERIOR
The interior is nicer than the other original style trucks I"ve seen for sale. Gauges work, including speedometer. The seats, engine cover, and door panels are in nice shape. Dash area and floormat are in good shape. The sleeper has no mattress. Roof has no holes in it. Interior lights work.
BODY
The body is in very nice shape. No dents. No rust. Two small dings. Nice grille and grille shell. Doors open/close fine. Glass is good. This truck would look a lot better with just stacks, rims, and a nicer front bumper. It already has the nice long wheelbase which look great on these trucks and ride nicer. The pics tell the story. No holes cut in the roof either.
Classis old semi sold as-is. Please read payment requirements below. Thank you!
