Vehicle description
FOR SALE IS A VINTAGE 1972 AIRSTREAM EXCELLA 500 TRAVEL TRAILER. IT IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE ESP FOR THE AGE. IT COULD BE USED AS IS, OR USED WHILE FIXING UP. A GOOD CANIDATE FOR LEAVING VINTAGE AND ORIGINAL, OR COMPLETLY REDOING TO YOUR OWN TASTE OR A MORE MODERN LOOK. WHILE GOING OVER THE TRAILER THE ONLY THINGS THAT APPEAR TO NOT BE ORIGINAL EXCEPT TIRES AND BATTERY ARE THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT HAS BEEN REPLACED AT SOME POINT, DO HAVE THE BROCHURE FOR IT. THE RADIO IS NOT ORIGINAL , AND MAYBE A FEW SMALL THINGS. THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS THAT ARE ORIGINAL THAT ARE STILL IN THE TRAILER THAT ARE VERY COMMON TO BE MISSING OR BROKEN , THAT THIS ONE HAS. LIKE THE COVERS OVER THE SINKS, THEY ARE ALWAYS MISSING OR BROKEN, THESE ONES ARE STILL THERE AND ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. I BELIEVE THAT ALL THE APPLIANCES ARE ORIGINAL, I HAVE NOT TRIED THEM ALL OUT AND NOT SURE IF THEY ALL WORK. I DO KNOW THE AC BLOWS COLD. THE STUFF AND OVEN LOOK TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE, AND I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD WORK STILL. THE REFRIGERATOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE, I HAVE CHECK THE ELECTRIC SIDE OF THE REFRIGERATOR AND IT DID NOT TURN ON , NOT SURE IF JUST A WIRE ISSUE OR NEEDS A COMPONENT , IT IS ALSO A PROPANE FRIDGE , I HAVE NO CHECK THAT SIDE OF IT. I HAVE PLUG THE TRAILER IN AND ALL THE OUTLETS DID WORK. I HAVE NOT CHECK THE 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM, THE BATTERY IS AROUND 10 YEARS OLD AND WOULD NEED REPLACED. I HAVE LOOKED AT ALL THE PLUMBING IN THE TRAILER AND ALL APPEARS IN NICE SHAPE EXCEPT FOR ONE LITTLE PIPE UNDER THE SINK NEEDS RECONNECTED , VERY EASY TO GET TO AND WOULD BE A QUICK FIX. ALL THE WINDOWS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE, NO CRACKS , I DO HAVE ALL THE SECONDARY WINDOWS OR STORM WINDOWS. THEY ARE INSIDE THE TRAILER. THE ORIGINAL AWNING SUPPORTS ARE THERE, THEY NEED ALITTLE WORK, THE CLOTH IS GONE, SO IF YOU WOULD WANT A AWNING THAT WOULD NEED REPLACE. THE FLOOR IS THE ORIGINAL FLOOR AND APPEARS IN NICE SHAPE. ALL THE CABINET DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE, ALL THE SLIDE DOORS ARE STILL THERE AND ORIGINAL. THEY ARE MISSING A LOT OF TIMES. THE UNDERNEATH OF THE AIRSTREAM IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THERE ARE SOME DINGS AND LITTLE DENTS ON THE AIRSTREAM BUT NOTHING TO BAD. FOR A PRETTY MUCH ALL ORIGINAL 1972 AIRSTREAM IT IS PRETTY NICE. I HAVE SEEN LOTS OF VINTAGE ORIGINAL ONES THAT DEF WERE NOT IN THIS KIND OF SHAPE. THE AXLES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE TIRES DO HOLD AIR BUT THEY ARE OLD SO THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED BEFORE USING THE TRAILER . THE PROPANE TANKS APPEAR TO BE THE ORIGINAL TANKS. THE ONE IS POLISHED TO SHOW HOW NICE THEY CAN LOOK. OVERALL THIS IN A NICE ORIGINAL VINTAGE AIRSTREAM. GREAT CANDIDATE TO KEEP ALL ORIGINAL AND MAKE NICER AND USE IT. OR IT IS ALSO A GEAT CANDIDATE TO MAKE IT HOW YOU WANT IT. IT IS GETTING HARD TO FIND A DECENT ALL ORIGINAL VINTAGE AIRSTREAM. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN POPULAR AND CONTINUE TO BE ONE OF THE MOST DESIRABLE TRAVEL TRAILERS. THERE ARE SOME BROCHURES IN THE TRAILER FROM CAMPSITES AND STUFF LIKE THAT KINDA TELLING THE STORY OF WHERE ITS BEEN AND THINGS ITS SEEN. I THINK IT SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE IN KENTUCKY, TENNESSEE, AND ARIZONA. ALSO IN THE TRAILER WAS MUST OF THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUALS AND WIRING DIAGRAMS FOR ALL THE APPLIANCES, WHICH IS JUST A NEAT LITTLE BONUS. THAT STUFF ALWAYS GETS THROWN AWAY OR RUINED. FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN AND HAVE TRIED TO LOOK OVER THE TRAILER THE BEST I COULD. DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT HAS EVER HAD ANY KIND OF WATER LEAKS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. YOU COULD PROB USE THIS TRAILER AS IT IS , BUT I WOULD DEF GO OVER EVERYTHING BEFORE TAKING IT ON ANY LONG ADVENTURES. NOT SURE EXACTLY HOW LONG THIS TRAILER HAS SAT SINCE LAST TIME IT WAS USED BUT IT WAS PROB A FEW YEARS, BUT I DONT THINK IT SAT FOR MUCH LONGER THAN THAT ITS IN TOO NICE OF SHAPE. ALSO BELIEVE SOME OF THE ELECTRICAL THINGS LIKE FUSE BOX AND STUFF HAVE BEEN EITHER REDONE OR UPDATED SOME. THAT SHOULD STILL BE CHECK OVER BEFORE ANY REAL USE. THIS TRAILER IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER AND TO GO ON SOME NEW ADVENTURES AND MAKE SOME HAPPY FAMILY MEMORIES. I DO HAVE SOME MORE PICS , COULD ONLY LOAD 24 ON HERE, SO IF INTERESTED JUST LOT US KNOW. AIRSTREAM DOES HAVE A CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE . JUST SOME INFO ON TRAILER-TAG ON THE TRAILER-ALSO THINK ITS A 31 FT EXCELLA 500 BUILT FEB OF 1972 GVWR 7100, GVWR FRONT 3200, GVWR REAR 3200. TYPE TRAILER E31T2J3792 TRAILER IS SOLD AS IS -WHERE IS- BUYERS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVAL AND ANY TRANSPORTATION FEES. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY, AIRSTREAM IS LOCATED AT ANSPACH AUTO 51 MAIN ST ONO , PA 17077. HAVE TRIED TO LIST AND ACCURATELY DESCRIBE THE AIRSTREAM TO THE BEST I COULD.
