Toyota World Racer - Fast MR2 race car. Zero hours since engine rebuild.
Comes with some spares: A lift, A (Gorgeous) extra set of 4 wheels, Camber bars A detailed operation manual illustrating how to set up and run the car + race specifications. Runs good. Race Trailer available if required for $3000. (drive here - tow it home)

Race results from Watkins Glen 1997 WSR race. Fastest qualifier 2:06.25. Most times 2:07 - 2:12 That should give you a good idea to compare against other cars. FIA gt cars in 1999 were doing 1:47.5. . I assume that"s the same course.
These tube-frame race cars featured many components of Toyota’s MR2 sports cars, including its 1.8L, 160hp rear-mounted 4AGE engines, along with transaxles, brakes, and suspension from the MR2. Utilizing readily available Toyota running gear kept reliability high and repair costs low, making it a popular racer for SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) and VARA (Vintage Auto Racing Association) competition. WSR was also used as a development series for the American LeMans Series (ALMS).
While the World Sports Racing series is no longer active, the cars themselves are still currently eligible for many different racing series today, and provide a low-cost entry into mid-level spec racing events.
In 2008 this car began its vintage career in Historic Sports Car Racing where it has established an extensive history the last 10 years. Can be raced in SCCA, NASA, HSR, SVRA, PBOC and VDCA. Good competitive racer with a high power to weight ratio. Log books include instructions for setting up the car and engine . Extra set of split rims are MINT! Just needs slicks. Awesome wide + long cockpit for anyone around 6ft.

It transpires that this is a very early car. Chassis Serial Numbers 1 - 40 went to Central America.
The remaining cars, (up to serial # 74) were sold in the United States.
All made by "Smart" before the ProSeries was proposed and the serial numbers were expanded to five digit.
Smart preceded the company: "World Sports Racer Inc."
