This item is a partially completed Fully Electric DC Conversion Kit for a 2003 Toyota Corolla. The Hard parts of this conversion are already completed. The old gasoline engine and trans have been removed. The Warp 9 Electric motor has been installed with precision mounting plates that allow the motor to mount to the original Toyota engine and trans mounts. The car was converted from an auto trans axle to a manual trans axle (which is needed to make electric conversion work). It is the proper Toyota manual trans axle for the Car. New front axles were also installed. Because of the properties of the electric motor, No clutch is needed to operate this trans now that it is attached to the Warp 9 electric motor. The power steering pump can be connected to one side of the warp 9 which is double shafted ( all you need is a few bolts to be tightened and a belt.) Items needed for the brake system such as a vacuum pump, regulator, and storage cylinder are included. A heating element for cabin heat and defrosters is included.
What is not included is the 10-12 (depending on preference) 12vDC batteries & cables, and Electric Controller as well as some odds and ends needed to install them and finish the Conversion.
Lets face it this electric conversion kit will take some real work, some fabricating, and some imagination to finish but will be very rewarding.
The car in great shape. 100% road worthy good used condition. It has been garage kept for years while this conversion was being put together. All of the interior is included. some of it has been disassembled as the pics show to allow for the installation of some of the parts already mentioned like the manual trans axle"s shifter. There is a small dent shown in the pictures above the passenger side rear wheel. Other wise the car is in decent shape showing normal signs of wear and tear.
The Warp 9 motor has been tested using 12vdc and everything has operated fine.
Because of the nature of this item it is being sold as is.
This electric conversion can not be completed by the owner due to health reasons, or it would have been completed and on the road already.
Local Pick Up only. Car located in Bayonne NJ 07002. The buyer must arrange for transport of the Car, all items will be in the Car. Your tow company can winch it out of the garage.
