Vehicle description

1989 Tioga Arrow 28’ Class C. Fleetwood built these older Tioga’s with steel framing. To that they added vacubond wall & floor panels that in my opinion is less subject to de-lamination than many newer units. The roof is a once-piece, natural color aluminum sheet. So this upscale coach has remained nice and dry over the years. Buying the right motorhome is more about design, construction and owner care than about year model. Interior photos: Interior photos were shot with the coach parked in our equipment garage. So, the interior lights had to be “on.” The results were photos that represent the upholstery a bit darker than the true color (light beige). Also, the cabinets are more uniform in color than the photos show. The interior is “original” and in beautiful condition as shown. Exterior photos: Exterior photos show the paint and appearance of this coach as good to excellent. Up close around the entrance door, are some small random spots on the silver paint. Point is, the paint is very presentable and well cared for but not perfect. Fact is, prior owners had the means to keep this coach properly maintained. The last owner primarily traveled in a 45ft. Prevost Coach, reserving this Tioga for closer-in trips and for venues that could not accommodate the larger unit. The exterior has been routinely caulked and waxed. In fact, I recently inspected, re-caulked all seams (neatly) as needed. It was then waxed . . including the roof. Mechanical: This coach is built on a specially designated Ford E350 Chassis. The engine, Ford 460, is in great shape. It powers so many Ford products that unlike the V-10, (or newer more complex engines) any small town mechanic can get you back going should a problem occur. Transmission is in good shape. Dash A/C works. Brakes have recently been completely redone and all 6 tires are brand new from Firestone. Both house & engine batteries are new. Cab windows are tinted. The 27’ 4" length is a perfect fit for the chassis. Longer Class C’s, especially with slides overload the chassis, and can make them difficult to handle when it’s windy, or when trucks are passing. This is a Southern coach. It was also factory undercoated. Fuel capacity is 40 gals. RV Equipment: The low-hour 4.0 Onan, has just been serviced by my RV mechanic friend. It cranks right up and easily handles everything on board. The fridge is a newer addition (according to the last owner) and a bit larger than the original. It operates on LP & 110. The roof A/C cools the coach even in the hottest weather. The TV shown comes with this RV and the roof antenna is new. For winter camping, insulated window covers are included. Interior headroom is 6"11" front to back. Fresh water tank: 35 gals. Grey water tank: 35 gals. Black water tank: 25 gals. Quick recovery water heater: 6 gals. LP: 14 gals. I have all the manuals associated with the RV equipment, including the original brochure from which the original owner selected this coach. This ad with photos, represents my best efforts to accurately describe this coach. Sold "as is". No warranty given or implied. This RV is also for sale locally. Thanks for looking.
