“It is in good condition, but has wear. It will need some front bushings and all shocks are due to be replaced. There is a rear stabilizer support that has gotten bent and needs replaced. There are some small places with surface rust starting on the body. But over all it is in good condition. I used it every school day for the last 3 years. I have all the maintenance records that we have done over the last 3 years. The injector rings on one side might need replaced, it is not starting without ether when the engine is warm.” |

Vehicle description
This is a 2001 Ford E-450 powerstroke diesel school bus, it is a 22 passenger Thomas. I have owned and driven this for the last 3 years. We have had the transmission overhauled twice and the engine has been overhauled on the top end. It has 217,362 miles, I have put over 80,000 miles on it. It is a good running bus, it has started not wanting to start when the engine is warm, without ether, it has done this in the past and we found that the injector rings were cracking and needed replaced. One side has been done this year, but now looks like the other side needs it. One small shot of ether, if needed and it runs until you shut it off. It has seat belts, front a/c, rear heat, heated mirrors, top strobe, hydraulic brakes, automatic transmission, tinted windows, dual batteries, all lights work, good exhaust, new brakes, good tires, manual door, white roof. I have the maintenance book from all 3 years, so you can see all that has been done to the bus. This is still a good usable bus, our work has changed and so now longer have the school routes. Just a few minor updates that would be needed after a full school year. The front bushings need some updates after all the dirt roads we travel.
