Vehicle description
Bus being sold due to ministry closing down. Bus was purchased in 2010 and used to take trips from Oklahoma to the Creation Museum in Kentucky and back. Bus is located in Terlton, OK. Odometer reads 236k miles, but it may have a newer motor in it. While changing the transmission fluid, it was noticed that the motor looked newer and a 2007 sticker was found on the motor. Motor sounds good with plenty of power and the automatic transmission has worked for us flawlessly. Air ride and air brakes. Class B license required. Comfortable seats that individually recline – these are not your bench school bus seats. The front inside of the bus has a flat screen TV, Radio, & DVD player that is connected to the bus speaker system. Great for entertaining/teaching during trips! There is an AC inverter in the back so people can charge their cell phones if needed. All of our group trips to the Creation Museum made it there and back! Things not working: the fuel gauge does not work, but it has a 100 gallon tank. We would just top off the tank before our trips and refuel based on the trip mileage and figuring around 9 miles per gallon. The bus no longer starts from the key and must be started with the push button located in the back. It started from the key when we purchased it, but over time got where it seldom starts from the key. It is believed a sensor on the seat or something like that has gone out. We just left the bus running during our trips and have not had this looked at yet. The bus has a dual AC system that worked great when functioning, but over time both systems have developed leaks and will need to be serviced. Heater works good. The speedometer will sometimes start to flicker. We have celebrated the tachometer for our speed when this happens, but it does appear to be getting worse and more often. We have not had this looked at yet either. The bus is being sold AS IS and payment must be made in full before pickup or with cash at pickup. No guarantees, but you should be able to drive it anywhere in the country.
