Vehicle description
I am selling my 2001 Thomas Built Short Bus. It has the chassis of a 3500 GMC Savanna van with dual rear tires. Just under 61,000 miles with a new transmission put in about 1,500 miles ago. I"ve put a lot of money into this thing and countless man hours. Only selling because I don"t have the time to finish it. I"ve kept it indoors for most of the time I"ve owned it. I"ve taken it on multiple 3+ hour trips with no problems. Averages about 8-9 mpg. All tires are in good shape! The pictures don"t show how cozy it really is! Come take it for a test drive and see for yourself.
List of things I"ve done that I can think of off the top of my head
-Completely gutted the interior, insulated the ceiling, sides and floor of the bus
-Built a bed with storage underneath along with drawers in front
-Stainless steel sink with running water (powered by car battery)
-21 gallon water tank stored underneath bed
-Two burner propane stove (tank included)
-Fully function Cubic Mini Wood Stove with wood storage underneath
-Replaced transmission cooler and lines
-New battery about a month ago
-New oil pan and power steering cooler
-Just replaced the serpentine belt and tensioner
I have saved receipts for almost everything I"ve done, can also get proof of new transmission and some of the other mechanical work (that I didn"t do myself) upon request. Will also include all the materials I have saved and accumulated for this project.
