Streamline Travel Home. This motorhome was manufactured by Bill Newell who"s company now builds luxury class A motorhomes. It was manufactured for Bing Crosby and RKO Pictures. We believe it was used on Bings movie sets as a place to rest and later became part of his estate from which it was purchased. I purchased it from Bill Newell"s grandson and thought I would restore it and preserve a piece of history, but so many other projects seemed to get in the way and now I realize I don"t have the time left to redo it. It needs a complete redo. It is not running. I threw a rod into the oil pan so the motor needs a rebuild. A newer 460 Ford engine goes with the motorhome, but it should have a rebuild as well. The vehicle must be towed. When I bought it the tow was $900 from Stagecoach NV to Sacramento which is where it is now. I did nothing but clean it up a bit. A terrific part of travel history. 80 were built and who knows how many are still around.
