No Reserve sale of my good running, clean, low mileage (4125 miles) 1998 MTV M1088 Stewart + Stevenson 44,650 lb. GVWR 6x6 Semi truck with automatic transmission and ABS. This solid truck is ready to use but it could use some TLC to fix light surface rust now visible in a few places (see pictures). It has a push button Allison 7 automatic transmission with a heavy duty transfer case 30-80 or 50-50 6x6 selectable functions and Meritor axles. All lights and mechanical functions operate as they should (adjustable suspension & central auto tire inflation system BIT checks okay). Paint is in good condition by military standards and the little rust is just on the surface you can see in the pictures. The interior is decent or good condition when compared to other DRMO trucks and the 395/85R20 Goodyear radial tires have 90% tread remaining. The 6x6 drivetrain operates as it should. I used to be a motor pool OIC in the Army and can tell you these trucks are very maneuverable, smooth, strong and easy to drive (especially when compare to the old deuces & 5tons). This truck has an auto cab tilt feature that makes it easy to access the engine and although it only has 290hp it can pull/haul much more than it is rated for. You are more than welcome to come inspect the truck mon-fri 8am-4:30pm with prior coordination. These newer MTV series semi-trucks don"t come up for sale all to often. I was very happy to buy it and I am sad that it is cost prohibitive ($5K to ship it to me in Reno is more than I can afford). If you have questions please call or email me.
