Vehicle description

1999 International AmTran 41 foot bus conversion. The bus has already been converted and registered as an RV in Colorado making registering the vehicle easy. You should not need a CDL to drive this bus since it is registered as an RV. I bought this about two years ago and have driven it from Arizona to Colorado, and then all over Colorado since then. My plan was to keep working on the conversion, but life has changed and now I do not have a place to store the bus so I have to sell it. The bus is located in Aurora, Colorado. I can arrange times to see it most evenings if you are a local buyer.
Mechanically the bus is in great shape. It starts every single time with no problems and drives great. The previous owner had the following work done shortly before I bought it:
T444E (International 7.3) Diesel Engine with about 185000 miles.
Rebuild 210 HP block with all new gaskets ARP head studs New upgraded turbo pedestal Brand new intercooler (charge air cooler) Freshly cleaned and tested radiator New fuel pump with upgraded 72PSI regulator Water pump Rebuilt HPOP (high pressure oil pump) with new heavy duty high pressure oil hoses Heavy duty alternator The bus has a small oil leak, which is not uncommon for international diesel engines. I just drove the bus after leaving it sitting all winter and did not need to add any oil before driving it. The bus has an Alison 545 4 speed automatic transmission.
I have not had to do anything besides a routine oil change on this bus since buying it. It consistently runs great every time I drive it.
Tires are in good condition.
The bus is mostly converted. It has a bench seat in the front lounge with a futon mattress on it. I have a Tiny Wood Stove Dwarf 5kwh wood stove which I had planned to install in the front lounge area. The stove is included with the bus but has not been installed. I paid $1525 just for the stove.
The kitchen has a counter top which doubles as a dining area. There is a chest freezer which has been converted to a refrigerator using a temperature controller so that it can run on solar power. I have run the refrigerator on solar power for a week at a time without it depleting the battery. There is a sink in the kitchen which currently drains directly into a small water tank under the sink. The bus does not have a fresh water tank installed. I am including a 15 gallon fresh water tank which I was planning to install inside the bus but just have not completed. I also have a water pump with has not been installed yet. I have a 26 gallon holding tank which I planned to install in the under-bay storage for the sink to drain into, but that has not been installed.
The back of the bus has a platform which fits a full size queen mattress, and two bunks. The bus does not currently have a mattress. There is a portable Dometic toilet included with the bus.
The bus has a Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Lithium portable power station connected to a 100W Renogy solar panel on the roof. The Yeti 1000 Lithium is currently selling for $1199. There are Goal Zero usb lights throughout the bus to provide lighting at night. I have been able to power the refrigerator and lights for a week at a time on solar power alone. The bus has a basic AC electrical system which consists of an extension cord run down each side of the bus to power strips on either side. Both cords go to external 15 amp plugs outside the bus. If you are at a campground or someplace with AC power just plug into the 15 amp outlet and you have AC power.
I am including an Olympian Wave-6 LP gas catalytic heater which is currently selling for $250. If I needed to heat the bus I would just connect the heater to a 5 lb LP tank outside the bus and run the heater inside the bus. The plan was to install the Tiny Wood Stove as a heat source instead, but I no longer have time to complete this project.
There is a small crack in one of the windows of the entry door to the bus. I was only able to upload 12 photos without paying extra. If you would like to see more photos send me a message and I will send you a link to the rest of the photos.
I think you will find that this bus is in great shape compared to a lot of the busses listed. I don"t really want to sell it, but life changes and I can"t keep it any more. I am starting the bid price well below the value of the bus and there is no reserve. I have tried to describe the condition of the bus accurately; the bus is being sold as is and there will be no returns. Buyer is responsible for local pickup from Denver, Colorado. I cannot store the bus for you. Due to the size of the bus it is probably not realistic to ship it. I will accept certified funds or wire transfer for payment. No personal checks.
