Ahhh, I love douchebag non payment friends :/ relisted bc of non payment Updated link: Betsy on AirBnb- https:/ www.airbnb.com/rooms/26399622?location=Grand%20Haven%2C%20MI%2C%20United%20States&children=0&adults=5&check_in=2019-12-24&check_out=2019-12-27&source_impression_id=p3_1575927119_rxykaW4uAYvrpl%2B8
Betsy Ross is her name, talk of the campground is her game! Red, white and blue 1998 international diesel, former county prison bus turned family Skoolie camper, quad bunks, Futon bed/couch, two super soft, squishy chairs, dinette folds to bed as well. Laminate wood floors up front, carpet in the back. Comes fully stocked with everything you need for camping. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee, toaster, small tv with dvd, custom sewed curtains, etc. Refinished cabinets, oil change this spring with a fresh grease job as well. Has started every single time I’ve needed her to start the last four years.easily sleeps six, could do ten if you have little people. Just looking to see what kind of Christmas interest there is for Betsy, no rush to sell and raise the price come spring. I know it’s not camping season but it will be here before you know it. We have rented her out the last couple of summers and she is rented out every weekend all summer long. Make some money or move in permantly. She has also done weddings, wine tours and fantasy football parties, birthdays and more. We always stay busy giving tours when we camp and love showing her off. 178k miles which is nothing for this engine, automatic transmission. I think I have gone less than 2k miles in her since I bought it four years ago or so. The DT466E engine is a one of the best! Guessing the engine and transmission are worth a couple of grand, scrap metal would be another grand if you wanted to go that route. Not a bad rig for twenty plus years. I bought it from the county and they took good care of her before I got it. Strobe light even works on top. Check out all the photos, text for any questions. This is a great mix between glamping and roughing it. No running water but has everything else. Bus is in storage just north of Muskegon right now.
I had some sensor professionally changed this summer, (not sure specifically which one but could find out if you wanted to know) back door is caulked shut because a windstorm blue off the hinges, gas tank has a tiny drip leak, engine drips absolutely zero oil. No broken glass. If seriously interested it would be great if you had the chance to see her in person first. I want the new family to be happy with their newest addition. This bus has been nothing but amazing for our family. I hope she finds a new home grow old with. Cheers! Feel free to ask any questions. I don’t want to sell but we just bought another bus and buses don’t fit really well in our driveway.
Great questions, I’ve never sold a bus before so I’ll have to add these answers to the posting. No generator, everywhere we have ever camped has been full service so I haven’t ever had the urge to buy one. The Drip/leak, I really wished I knew more about it but it has been pretty minimal and we usually only drive 45 minutes north to do some camping. (Not enough to effect the gas meter but after two weeks of sitting you might see diesel residue on the cement but not enough to cal it a constant full out ongoing leak in my opinion. We always used a space heater when camping and when I cut the heater lines out of the back I had installed an “u” looking custom fitting to cycle the coolant back to the engine but have never been able to get heat working again. Might just be a simple valve I have turned the wrong way. I still have the bus titles as a bus, besides giving Secretary of State more money I haven’t found a reason to get a different title. The bus has ran so darn well for us I’ve never had the chance or opportunity to really learn how to fix anything.
Bus should be about 37-39’,
Ahh, yeah not the case for Michigan. If I’m not for hire I don’t need one is what I was told by Secretary state, my insurance company and even asked police officers if I should do an “air brake” class, was told no, no and no. If I were to switch it over they said I had to show proof of kitchen prep and sleeping quarters. I would assume my beds and counter top would suffice but could be different in Ohio. I think they also try and tax me for what the either based original listing price was and or the weight of the vehicle or some sort of equation if I were to switch the title.
