We have a conversion started 1999 Thomas International School Bus 3800 T444E. We started the deconstruction last summer but ran out of time. It has been parked in a lot since fall of 2018. The lot is 40 miles from where we were working on it and it had no issue keeping up with traffic on the pike.
Most of the seats have been removed, there are only two bench seats left. The inner ceiling and insulation. It has also been mostly primed in Rustoleum black primer. The title has also been converted from a bus to a commercial vehicle. HUGE PLUS! ! That means you do not need any special license to drive her!
The bus is also just under 30 feet long and under 10 feet wide so parking is not impossible and the likely hood of being turned away from campgrounds is much lower.
The tires are decent and it only has 144,000 miles on that big Diesel engine (plenty of life left).
