TOTAL REBUILT in 2010 on steel chassis of 1974 Serro Scotty. It has been lived in full-time for 3 years then primarily stored since 2013. Parked in long-term locations so very minimal travel mileage. It is only 3200 pounds and easy to tow, not requiring a large truck or SUV to be purchased for towing, making it my choice over an Airstream.
RV is also for sale through other sites and listing may be removed before listing end date.
Custom rebuilt like a HOUSE for full-time living to endure cold winters and hot summers, exceeding RV construction standards. - Walls built with wood studs every 8 inches - High-R Insulation in walls and ceiling. - Heavy aluminum covering the exterior new walls and new roof/ceiling. - Top quality electrical wiring, gas lines, plumbing pipes. - Wood trim throughout - Designed specifically to have all the comforts of a regular home instead of feeling like a typical RV.
Original floor plan has been preserved. Interior walls and cabinetry preserved and reinforced internally. All interior surfaces covered with special PAINTABLE wallpaper that can be easily painted to change color scheme. Custom fabricated aluminum countertops and dinette table, all with custom aluminum trim.
2 Beds and Seating for 6 - 7 people: - Long couch converts to 82 inch x 48 inch bed. Very generous depth of bottom cushion allows for comfortable lounging or back cushion adjusts forward for traditional couch depth. - Comfortable dinette seating for 4 people. Cushions convert into a 77 inch x 44 inch bed as the dinette table is easily lowered via an adjustable table leg. - All cushions were custom made of memory foam and covered with top quality white vinyl.
1-of-a-Kind features: - 15 new special reproduction vintage windows - 2 large custom skylights (rear skylight built as an rear emergency exit) - Custom aluminum counter tops & dinette table - Custom hand-fabricated trim on counter tops - All bed/seat cushions made of memory foam and covered with the highest quality white vinyl. - All pillows made of high-fill down and covered with specialty fabrics. - All curtains custom-made of special edition prints. Curtain closest to kitchen sink is waterproofed fabric.
Total Restoration / Rebuild included: - New Appliances: New Dometic 2 burner propane cook top with integrated glass cover New Frigidaire 4.5-cu ft electric refrigerator with 0.7-cu ft freezer New Hamilton Beach extra large convection oven and rotisserie, electric - New Carrier Air V Conditioner 13,500 btu with digital thermostat: less than 10 hours use - New Heater: high-efficiency electric with internal thermostat knob - Hot water heater: electric/gas option, 6 gallons, has interior on/off switch to lower electric/gas use if desired - New Large 40 gallon fresh water tank - New Large 40 gallon black water tank, gray water can be diverted into black tank or directly out into septic drain - New 12 volt water pump - New Power Inverter Charger - All new 30 amp electrical system - wiring, switches and lighting fixtures - All new gas lines, propane tanks, fittings and rack - All new plumbing lines and plumbing fixtures - New Toshiba 22" HDTV with built-in DVD player, with cable hookup & heavy duty mount - New Roof antennae with adjustable positions - New 7,500 pound axle with reinforced steel frame - New Tongue coupler, jack crank stand, safety chains, multiple hitch locks

All pillows are high-fill down with custom made covers - Wall to wall new custom color carpet - Original cabinet hinges preserved
Kitchen features maximizing counter space: - Large flip up counter extension adds 1 foot of extra counter space - 18 inch round stainless sink for washing pans and dishes - Dometic gas cooktop has integrated thick glass cover, allowing full use of countertop for food preparation - Large convection oven is housed underneath the gas cooktop - Flip down dish drying rack and metal wine glass racks
Bathroom: - All-in-one bathroom with RV toilet, RV shower handle & original corner sink - White metal walls with full size medicine cabinet with mirror - The bathroom is kept water-tight when showering by a small shower curtain pulled across 1 bathroom wall, it is only needed while showering. - Wood bath platform (1 inch tall) keeps feet dry after showering - 4 plug covered waterproof covered electrical outlet
Windows and Doors: - Metal exterior door, extra strong custom made with deadbolt key lock and internal switch lock. When door is open, rubber bumper secures door to exterior wall. - Custom made full length Lexan entry door, can easily be adapted to contain a pet door and gives the option of abundant natural light. - 15 new windows - specialty jalousie style crank-out windows (reproductions installed in 2010)
Storage: - Large amount of storage for size - several large storage compartments and cabinets - Hanging closet is 14 inches wide with double rods
History: - There were 2 minor leaks due to the caulking around the exterior safety lights loosening from the plastic housing. A new tube of specialty clear caulking is included. - There is a minor fresh water leak at the base of the toilet that occurs only when the toilet is filled with new water. The toilet function is not affected at all. I have not repaired this due to the small amount of the leak. Additionally, the wood bath platform protects feet from any moisture on the floor. - The rear skylight has fracture cracks due to a falling branch. The skylight remains fully intact and watertight as it is constructed of high-quality plexiglass. If desired, it can easily be replaced. - To prevent the curtains from in the sun while in storage, I initially covered the RV with a large tarp, which left small areas of marks on the front and rear aluminum roof where the curvatures begin. I assume these marks can be buffed out.
Since the price has been dropped from $27,775, it is being sold with these minor repairs needed: - Refrigerator is functioning normally but not cooling properly. I was advised that it is likely a simple inexpensive repair. If new owner wants to replace the refrigerator, it can be purchased at Lowe"s for $208. (Item 591035) - Window tracks have been recently lubricated. Some windows will require new plastic track washers. - One light in the kitchen double dome light isn"t working. If replacing the bulb isn"t the problem, the fixture can be replaced for under $20.
Insurance Coverage: I chose an agreed value ($27,775) RV insurance policy with Progressive Insurance. This type of policy allows a vintage RV to be insured for it"s full value (as determined by the owner) after being rebuilt/restored.
Additional Exterior features: (all new in 2010) - 2 large 30 gallon propane tanks with tall black plastic cover - New large steel bumper contains septic drain hose - Rear hitch installed - Spare tire rack fitted into rear hitch - Tires new in 2014 have less than 100 travel miles - Dual porch lights on both sides - External locked storage compartment - Leveling blocks and manual leveling jacks included - Baby Moon chrome wheel covers
Extra Safety & Mechanical Specs: * All mechanical parts have much greater capacities/weights than required: - Steel chassis reinforced by welding 2 inch steel pipe to frame - New 7,500 pound axle installed - All trailer accessories double capacity - coupler, jack crank stand, safety chains - Upgraded to 15 inch tires - Electric trailer brake system wired to connect to vehicle brake controller - Abundant unique & specialty exterior safety lights - cone, round and LED strips - Weight is approximately 3200 pounds
Terms of Sale: - Disclosure: I have detailed the history and current condition of the RV to the best of my knowledge. The RV is being sold "AS IS" without warranty. - Payment: Bank wire transfer or cash. Please note that there has been considerable interest in this RV and because of 2 buyers not showing up after the deposit phase, the $500 deposit is non-refundable and must be made within 24 hours. Thank you. - Pick Up: Ready for immediate pickup in Ojai California. RV has a current Arizona license plate.
