Vehicle description
RV 5th wheel Holiday Rambler. 36 ". This is an oldie but goodie. This RV was built to the highest standards back in 1995. It has a 12" x 2" boxed steel frame, steel floor joist, steel wall studs, steel roof rafters. The complete trailer is covered with aluminum. Front and rear caps are fiberglass so it will not leak. The roof and undercarriage are covered in aluminum. You don"t see any pipes, tanks, or air ducts under the trailer. The undercarriage is also insulated and heated. The top, sides, front, and back are insulated with 3/4" styrofoam and 2" of fiberglass. The inside ceiling is insulated with 3/4" foam. The A/C system has 2 - 15,000 BTU units that are ducted front to rear. The 50 amp electric service will let you run both A/C units at the same time. The built-in 5.5 KW generator will run the whole trailer including both a/c units. The furnace is also ducted and runs off the 12V DC system or propane. The refrigerator runs on propane or 120V AC. There is an electric meter in the electric cabinet that reads volts and amps supplied to the trailer. The 5th wheel hitch is convertible to gooseneck. The 3 axles have rubber suspension with 6 shock absorbers and 6 brakes. The slide-outs are hydraulic powered by 12V DC with manual backup. The front landing gear is powered by 12V DC. New this year is water heater, a/c unit cover, digital tv antenna, outside main awning and return springs, bathroom skylight and master bed mattress. New 2 years ago are battery, bathroom exhaust fan, 3 roof vents, and new computer for refrigerator. New 3 years ago are 6 new tires, wheel bearings, brakes, and all outside lights replaced with LEDs. We tow this RV with a 3/4 ton diesel pickup and get 8 mpg on interstate @ 65 mph. We have owned it for 6 years and put about 7,000 miles on it. We have never had a breakdown or flat tire. It tows great and stops fast. Trailer weight with full camping gear and supplies and half full water tank is approximately 14,000 lbs. GVWR 15,000 lbs, GAWR on hitch 1,500 lbs, GAWR on rear axles 15,000 lbs, water tank 66 gal, black tank 32 gal, 2 gray tanks 32 gal each. Everything works, nothing needs to be fixed.
