Mechanical:
Runs and drives like a champ, even on the highway. Rebuilt transmission in 2016 (lifetime warranty with Aamco) New AC compressor 2017 New drive shaft 2017 Front steering/suspension parts replaced 2018 New water pump 2016 Replaced battery terminals 2019 Replaced vacuum pump 2019
Extras included: Bike rack- heavy duty steel - trailer hitch plug-in IPad included for tv watching (I removed the TV/DVD and use an IPad mounted with Velcro to the cabinet and stream everything. This is an upgrade if you ask me! ) Bluetooth speaker for audio included. (This is what I used- Original tape deck/radio does not work) Power inverter with USB/AC plugs included - for charging phones/laptops/curling iron/coffee maker/anything! No need for shore power, so you can boondock all you want!
The bad news: It is now a classic vehicle, at 28 years young, so signs of aging are inevitable. There are minor rust spots on the body. The most notable is above the drivers side window (pictured). However I was told that overall rust is pretty minimal.
The exterior paint has seen better days. It is all original and I would say it’s in normal wear-and-tear condition for its age. Many spots have been touched up and the decals are fading/chipping. But if you blur your eyes, from far way, she’s still pretty. My prerogative is that I’d rather spend money on adventures that aesthetics.
Original tape deck/radio - does not work. It stopped working about 2 years ago and at that time I just started using a Bluetooth speaker and streamed music from my phone. This worked fine, so I never bothered to repair. I will include a good BT speaker with sale, if wanted.
Here’s the big one… The RV plumbing system is compromised. I can’t explain much here because it came to me like this 7 years ago. So, I just used the pit toilet (pictured) while adventuring in the van full-time for a year and got along just fine. It was a surprisingly easy adjustment so I didn’t bother with looking into repairing it. So I have no idea what it would cost.
Finally, this could be a pro or a con, depending on your outlook- There are stickers displayed on the back cabinets over the bed telling a story of where she’s been. I could remove them without much trouble for the right buyer. But I thought maybe a certain buyer would take pleasure in knowing where she’s been? Maybe you add your own stickers from the new adventures you take together? Oh the places you will go!
