Mechanical inspection/service last month: carb rebuilt, tune-up, new steering stabilizer, tie rods, etc. This little beauty is ready for a road trip! I"m happy to provide receipts for recent work performed and if the winning bidder would like to talk to the shop that did it, they"d be happy to give you their opinion of this awesome little coach. I typically only own/sell Airstreams, so I know quality and tend to be very underwhelmed with anything less, but to say that I"m impressed with the design, quality craftsmanship and condition of this little Brave is an understatement. I"m a big fan of this little coach.
In 1973, Winnebago Industries, based in Forest City, Iowa, produced three models for the Brave motor home series, the D-18, D-20 and D-20T. The Winnebago Brave series are considered Class A recreational vehicles, although they"re shorter than most Class B and C models. The Winnebago Brave features Winnebago Industries patented "Thermo-Panel construction" and had a broad range of customizable options. The Brave series ranged in length from 18 feet to 20 feet and can comfortably sleep four to six people. This was the smallest (and definitely the cutest) in the series.
From the factory, the Winnebago D-18 Brave model motor home is 18 feet 3 inches in length, 7 feet 9 inches in width, and 9 feet 9 inches in height. The D-18 model motor home has a Dodge RM-300 chassis and a gross weight of 10,200 lbs, a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering and power front disc brakes, a 60-amp alternator, two 70 amp-hour batteries, and a 32-gallon fuel tank.
Additional interior options include: front bunk, dinette that folds into a bed, Goucho-sofa that slides into a bed, and wrap-around curtains. Optional interior appliances and options include a 6 cubic foot GE refrigerator with freezer, stove hood with light/vent/fan, auxiliary water tank, water pump, armrests, headrests, beverage tray and sun visors. Optional exterior appliances and options include a 2,500-watt power plant, 10,000 BTU roof mounted air-conditioning unit, 30-lb. propane tanks, 200-amp battery, spare tire, trailer hitch and screen door.
Please feel free to contact me any time at (Heather Anderson) if you have questions or would like to set up a time to come see the coach. I am located in Tucson, AZ not far off of I-10, easy to find and the weather is great this time of year, so come take a look, this rare little Brave is worth the trip from anywhere! Pictures really don"t do it justice, seeing it in person is best- it"s like going back in time just stepping inside.
* * * All hard surfaces of this coach have been cleaned and sanitized, and I run the Ozonator in anything that comes in for 24 hours as well, I always have, because I"m a bit OCD like that, now I"m even worse. I am happy to run it again prior to you picking it up if you have any concerns. You can Google what Ozone machines do to viruses, including the one we"re currently most concerned with. If you come to see it or pick-up in person, we can do paperwork scan/email, and practice social distancing. I have gloves, masks and sanitizer, we can easily do business safely. * * *
I am a licensed/bonded AZ auto dealer . . NOT by choice, but because here in the great state of AZ if you buy/sell more than 3 vehicles (of any kind) in any 12 month period, you have to get a license. I am in real estate, but also a classic car and Airstream nut, I also have a ranch, horses, trailers, etc. . let"s just say I bought and sold a few too many for the state"s liking, and due to the fact that they need revenue desperately- they decided to fine me when I sold a few more that what I"m "allowed", long story short- I jumped through all of their hoops and got my license 14 years ago. Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction"s end, and the coach must be picked up within 15 days of payment (unless other arrangements have been made). Certified funds, cash in person or bank wire-transfer only. Payments MUST clear before the RV leaves my sight. There are no "title fees" or "doc fees" like the typical dealers have because as far as I can tell, that"s just a way to get an extra couple hundred dollars from someone, here in AZ it costs me $15.00 to get a temporary registration so that a buyer can drive home legally and $4.00 for a title, I think I can handle that. Please check my feedback, you"ll see that I don"t sell very many vehicles- but I do have 100% positive feedback on what I have sold over the years. I do NOT go to auctions and buy cars to sell, anything that I have sold or will sell either belonged to me or someone that I know or is a "consignment" type of sale. I have never liked most car dealers and am not all that thrilled to be "one of them". * * This is a USED RV and is being sold as-is/where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. This coach is in great condition, but please be realistic- it is NOT a "brand new" coach- there will be wear and tear, dings, chips, and other imperfections from normal use and going down the highway. This unit is VERY CLEAN, but it is 48 years old, if you"re expecting a NEW RV, please buy one. If you can"t make it here to see it in person, please call me and I can walk around it with you. Again, please call me with any questions or to come see it: 520-404-1975. I would welcome and recommend that you come see it or have a 3rd party inspection. I will make it available throughout the auction for any and all inspections, just call and we"ll set up a time. Please understand that the description is only my opinion, yours may be different, I have done my best to take many pictures and describe the RV to the best of my ability. Just remember, we all tend to look better in pictures than in person- that"s just the way it is. This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Great State of Arizona as they apply to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within Arizona between Arizona residents, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Due to concerns of fraud, if you"re paying via cashier"s check, it must clear my account before the RV/title leaves my sight. I require a deposit of $500 via Paypal immediately upon winning the bid; I also require CONTACT with the buyer within 24 hours of winning the auction, just send me an email or give me a call so that I know who you are, etc. If there is no contact and no deposit, I reserve the right to sell the coach to the next bidder. Email through Ebay or call my cell any time at 520-404-1975. * Taxes : Arizona Residents: Must pay Sales tax (6.1%) as we are located in Pima County. * Any Non-Arizona Residents Using a Shipping Company: Pay No sales tax. The final bid price is your price, you may have to pay taxes in your home state upon registration depending on where you live, but as long as I have a copy of a receipt/Bill of Lading from a licensed shipping company to show the state of AZ that the vehicle was picked up from me directly to be shipped out of state, you pay no tax here. * Non-Arizona (US) Residents Taking Delivery in Arizona: Out of state buyers that take delivery in Arizona will pay sales tax according to their home state"s tax rate. All customers who take delivery in Arizona will receive a receipt showing taxes paid in Arizona to avoid being double charged by their home state. Licensed dealers do not pay sales tax. * Non-US Residents Taking Delivery in Arizona: Foreign citizens who take delivery in Arizona are subject to 6.1% state and County sales tax. Licensed dealers do not pay sales tax. Thanks for taking the time to look at my auction and good luck bidding!
