Vehicle description

Rare Antique 1946 Vintage Aluminum Camper Trailer Industrial Deco Canvas Pop-Up. The full-size wheels/tires help make it a dream to pull—very smoothly & easily, even with smaller cars bc of lightweight durable construction (has great suspension springs as well)—perfect for your Pandemic & Post-Pandemic get-aways & adventures! I purchased in 2007 from original owners (they visited a lot of our national parks, including west coast) with the intent of tweaking and detailing. I love the smaller size: approximately 6’ wide by 7’ long (not including tongue/coupler), about 3.5 when closed. .see old ad ilusrations to understand hold it folds-out/pops-up & how a small boat can travel atop camper quite easily. Original owners replaced canvas in the 70s using original for a template. .most of this canvas is in descent shape, but there has been some canvas damage during garage storage where it touched a carpet scrap in bottom (some sort of reaction, options I was considering was to replace at boat canvas business using this canvas as a template or you could also evaluate patching as well. .I though black or charcoal canvas would look really sharp with my imagined polished aluminum (I planned to shine up like an airstream is). Has a little bit of gray paint over paginated original paint, my broom was freely removing gray paint as I was cleaning, so should come off with a power sprayer. .it’s also craving white wall tires and some re-chromed or good condition moon caps. .a few rivets on top brackets have come loose, I can put some stainless bolts on for you. I have original ball for towing which is a rare size, I will pass along. It also has detachable tongue stand (which is often missing). I’m ready to finish a couple of vintage boat projects & have convinced myself to sell to a good home ready for tweaking and some exciting travel adventures
