1994 Toyota Townace 4WD, 2L 2C Diesel, 5 Speed Manual, RHD Campervan with Super low mileage of just 55"000 Miles!
Much sought after, rare Japanese factory purpose built high top campervan with the added bonus of a bathroom w/hot water shower and cassette toilet! This is possibly the cleanest most well maintained example that I have yet to come across. (Copy and Paste Dropbox link at bottom for more photo"s)
With an amazing use of space, it has all the amenities you need to live comfortably whilst on the road. Hot and cold water, sink, 2 burner hob, electric fridge, Bathroom w/ shower and cassette toilet, sleeps 3, seats 6. It"s super compact at around 5 metres in length and will still park in a standard parking space. As for fuel economy, at clocks in at the low 20"s on the ultra reliable Toyota 2C naturally aspirated diesel engine. You wont break any speed records, but it will cruise happily at 65mph on the highway. The vehicle is running on standard Toyota 14" steel wheels but could easily be upgraded to 15"-16" sized wheels as long as you also upgraded/raised the suspension by 2-3 inches which would allow you more clearance, which in turn would mean the camper could cope with more demanding off road locations. It"s right hand drive, with 5 speed column shift gearstick and push button 4WD with the standard Toyota truck setup Aisin 4X4 manual locking hubs and hi-lo transfer case. . this thing will surely give a VW Syncro a run for it"s money!
This vehicle has been impeccably maintained by it"s previous owners which is evident from the bodywork having zero rust or corrosion (just a couple of surface scuffs to the corners of the rear bumper) The underside/chassis is also very clean and solid. Internally the camper has been cherished and maintained and has not wanted for anything with all the appliances working as they should. The camper is a pleasure to drive with the engine sounding lovely and gearbox selecting smoothly. It has an incredibly low mileage of just 55"000 miles!
This camper is set up as the perfect off grid rig as it also has a solar set up w/panel on the roof and internal power gauge monitor. It also has Propex heating and Carver hot water heater, basically this has everything you need for comfortable living whilst on the road. The previous owner has also added new upgraded fridge along with a 21" flat screen TV with external roof mounted ariel. The seating can be adjusted to form a single bed or with the bench seat folded down too will make a large double bed. There is also a bunk type bed on the upper right hand side that can fold out to sleep one more person or you could just use it for extra storage as the last owner did. . .or simply remove it altogether for more headroom space. There are also blinds and curtains to the rear camper section for privacy. Over the cab you have further handy storage, maybe for bedding etc when not in use and also a sunroof. There is also plenty of cupboard storage including overhead lockers running the length of the ceiling. In the cab you have seating which seats 3 (with 3 seat belts) the middle smaller seat back section folds down to form a great little table w/drinks holders and again this area is very clean and outstanding condition for it"s age with no marks to the seating etc. Outside you have a great wind out awning and rear mounted roof ladder. Access to empty the cassette toilet is via a locking door on the side of the camper plus similar door hatch to the rear for access/storage of gas bottle. There is also a mains/shore power electric hook up plug point and water filling point too. The Japanese have really thought of and managed to fit just about everything into this Tardis like vehicle.
All in all, a great alternative to a VW Syncro. . just as capable off road, more reliable long term, a much better internal layout and all without the hefty price tag!

Registration in the U.S.: Registering imported vehicles of this age in the U.S. is made relatively easy due to the fact it falls under the 25 Year Rule (Google this to read more) which means due to it"s age it is exempt from having to pass stringent emissions and other tests plus have modifications done to meet state requirements.
