I have for sale a rare 1991 Toyota Townace A"mCraft Poptop 4WD 2C Diesel RHD Campervan which is in superb condition both inside and out.
A beautiful example of a rare Japanese factory built 1991 Toyota Townace A’mCraft 4WD Campervan. With an amazing use of space, it has all your standard camping amenities, cold water, outdoor sink/shower, diesel parking heater, electric 2 burner hob, electric fridge, sleeps 4 and seats 5. It’s small, coming in at around 4.6 metres in overall length and will easily park in a standard car park space. Weight is approx 2300 Kg. As for fuel economy, it clocks in low 20s on the Toyota 2C naturally aspirated diesel engine. You wont be breaking any speed records, but it will happily cruise at 65mph on the highway. It’s optioned with push button 4WD with the standard Toyota truck setup Aisin 4×4 manual locking hubs, and hi-lo gear transfer case. . this thing will give a VW Syncro a run for it"s money!
This vehicle was impeccably maintained by it"s previous owners, which is obvious when you notice the chassis/underside has zero rust or corrosion. .it still even has the original factory paint on it! Not only that, the bodywork is immaculate and also has no rust/corrosion/dents etc. I cant emphasis enough how well the engine functions and how smooth the gearbox is, making this a pleasure to drive. . again, a testament to the previous owners care. You really wouldn"t believe this camper had travelled 105"000 miles, which is still incredibly low considering the age of the vehicle and how many miles these super reliable engines are capable of. Comes with Toyota owners manual plus extensive folder of paperwork inc. service history and receipts plus original Japanese export certificate. The campervan is currently undergoing a full service so the new owners can have peace of mind that this vehicle is in top condition and ready to hit the road!
Whilst in the previous owners care they upgraded the hob to a 2 burner electric one. They also upgraded the diesel night heater, internal LED lighting, USB points/plug sockets and stereo and installed a mini TV with external ariel. It also runs on upgraded 15" alloy wheels. The camper has benefitted from a complete reupholstery of all rear camper seating plus bulky curtains have been swapped out for slick looking, smooth operating blinds/fly screens which give the internal space a more open, brighter feel to it. The kitchen area"s walls have been re-decorated with a decoupage effect paper which is fun but may not be to everyones taste. .this could easily be removed or painted over. The rear seats can be made into either a 1 or 2 person bed depending on the preferred layout of cushions. This is the rarer high poptop roof version of the AmCraft which gives a little more headroom whilst the poptop is down. Once popped up it reveals another sleeping compartment in the roof with a window in the canvas for extra light. Outside, you have a great wind out awning and underneath that you have a clever slide out compartment which houses an extra outdoor sink and shower attachment. .perfect for outdoor dining/washing up and showering off.
All in all, a great alternative to a VW Syncro. . just as capable off road, more reliable long term, a much better internal layout and all without the hefty price tag too!
