Vehicle description
This rare 1967 Golfster is in rough shape. It has been sitting out in the weather for many rears in Eastern NC. The Cushman add for this model states it is Cushman"s most advanced model with "automotive type steering" (it has a steering box and tie rods), an elliptical front leaf spring suspension and single disc brake on the rear axle. The Kohler engine appears complete including generator/starter (see photos) and the flywheel turns freely. It is no longer attached to the piston. The crank case shows no signs of damage as from a thrown rod or the like. The rear portion of the body is gone. The horns and lights on the front were added by a previous owner as was the aluminum tubing rail assembly. The variable speed pulley drive assembly is rough but complete. The transaxle is also rough but complete. The frame rails seem sound. This is a good candidate for restoration. From what I have read 1967 was the year Harley Davidson entered the golf cart market. Cushman tried to counter with this more refined model. It is also a viable parts cart. It does roll and steer so loading will not be a problem. It will be for local pickup only or buyer can arrange shipping. I have no means to lift it so a low trailer is required for the use of ramps.
