Vehicle description
This 1998 Prevost H3-45 bus is ready for your bus conversion project or an interior refit. The seats, floor, and overhead bins have already been removed to accommodate a motorcoach RV / Skoolie conversion project. The Prevost H3-45 platform is used by the best coachbuilders in the world for its incredibly quiet and comfortable air ride with durable stainless steel frame. Exceptionally large underfloor storage areas offer generous space for cargo, tanks, generator, and other systems. Frameless windows reduce wind noise.
This bus was obtained from its first owner approximately one year ago, a coach tours company that maintained it well. The engine has been replaced and has approx 227,000 miles on the current engine and approx 142,000 miles on the current transmission giving hundreds of thousands of miles of remaining life before rebuild or replacement should be necessary. The bus has a recently installed ECU and new fuel filters. The Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine has low fuel consumption and strong highway performance. No EGR, no DPF, and no DEF on this model year increases reliability and fuel efficiency. Transmission is an Allison 6 speed automatic. The coach has air suspension with low-bouy and front kneeling systems as well as the over-the-road AC option. Bus starts, runs, and drives well, sold as-is. Paint is currently protected by a removable vinyl wrap.
Selling due to lack of time to work on conversion project.
Local pickup from Eugene, OR area. Willing to negotiate local delivery. Title in hand.
