POWER KING DRAGSTER. Condition is "Used". In Excellent condition, stored in a trailer. In the 1950"s, when nitro-methane burning dragsters were put into classes according to the size of their engines, the Power King was a B dragster on the A, B, C, D scale. Sponsored by Powered King batteries, the car was campaigned in Arizona, California and Nevada. Today"s Power King nostalgia top fuel dragster still has the same small iron block 354 cubic inch engine that it had in the 50"s and the early 60"s. With the stock engine block, the stock crankshaft, iron heads, no computer or canards, and in reality, none of the modern tricks, it ran the quarter mile in 6.7 seconds at 212 mph. As tuning of the engine and the chassis improved, so did the elapsed times and mph. In 2005, the Power King became the fasted and quickest 354 Chrysler engined dragster in history. By the end of 2006, the best elapsed time was 6.20 seconds at 223 mph. With some additional displacements in a newer style engine, and other refinements, and hoping for times of less than 6 seconds with speeds of 240-250 mph or better.
