Vehicle description
2007 Porsche 997.1 GT3 Cup Barn Find
43 hours from New As Delivered Entire Car!
This is not some clapped out hacked up beat up crashed a hundred times re-tubbed X-IMSA GT3 Cup car on it"s 4th motor and gearbox! It is a 43 hours past as delivered from Weisach piece. It was a backup car and parked in climate controlled storage for 6+ years
We sent the car to Greg Fordahl immediately upon acquiring it, Greg"s resume:
Started working on racing cars in 1979, working up through National level Autocross, Club Racing and Pro racing. Engineered winning racecars at all of those levels. Wins at every major racing facility in the US. Win at LeMans, first attempt. Wins at Daytona, Sebring, Petit, Thunder Hill 25hr, etc. Specialties: Race Engineering. Suspension optimization, damper theory and tuning. Racing team structure and management. Pit stop choreography. Aerodynamic analysis and tuning.
I bought this car with 40.3 hours from new after it sat in climate controlled storage since 2009. I took it to Fordahl Motorsports where Greg Fordhal (chief chassis engineer Alex Job) so they could go over it top to bottom refreshing everything as needed. Leak-down was perfect.
Fordahl Motorsports installed the following upgrades:
Bosch MP4 ABS ($11,000) Competition Motorsports Throttle Blipper ($1,000) GT3RS Inconel Race Headders ($7,000) 991 GT3 Cup Muffler (101db at sea level in thick air) ($2500) GT3RS Sachs Shocks custome valved by Fordahl (3way front, 2 way rear) No body significant damage EVER! This was a backup car for IMSA GT3 Cup series, hence the low hours
This car ran 1:24.xx at Seattle at 100Lb over weight on 6 heat cycle Pirelli"s with a Viper driver at the wheel, a true Porsche shoe could do much better I"m certain. .
Included with car:
Complete car spare PMNA splitter 2 Sets BBS Centerlock wheels 1 set one HC Michilen S8 For questions related to car call Greg @ 360.265.0117
