If you are looking at this ad, then you know the stories of Porsche factory built race cars for sale for a "SONG": 356 Carreras, Carrera Speedsters, 911 Trans AM Cars, 906s, 904s, 908s, 934s, 935s, 964 RSRs, 993 RSRs. . . Porsche Factory built competition cars have proven to be good investments over the long term.
I am offering here a crashed 2005 PORSCHE FACTORY BUILT 996 Carrera Cup Race car chassis. The car was crashed and then parts were striped and sold. HOWEVER: This car has retained it"s original VIN stampings!
The unusual aspect of this car is that the owner decided to NOT order a replacement TUB ("Body in White") from Porsche so he never removed the original Porsche factory VIN numbers from this chassis. The chassis could be repaired by someone with proper knowledge, time and equipment.
The Porsche Factory Built 2005 996 Carrera Cup Race cars sold for around $240,000 when they were new. Porsche built them to race in several series around the world and needless to say they were quite successful. These cars have been increasing in value over the past few years as they are great Club / DE / SCCA / HSR cars. They are and will always be Porsche Factory Built Competition Cars: Few produced, awesome pedigree and reliable!
This auction includes the Silver Porsche 2000 996 Coupe that can be used in the repair of the 996 Carrera Cup car. The Silver Coupe has never been crashed and it has many very nice components that can be used for the repair of the cup car.
I am happy to assist the buyer with sourcing parts for this Carrera Cup car as I have excellent relationships with many of the teams that raced these cars in period. Storage, shipping, transport are NO PROBLEM!. Call me if you need more detailed photos of one or both cars: US EST 8am - 10pm: 843 639-9393.
The 996 Carrera Cup Chassis is sold on a BILL OF SALE only as it is a competition car never intended for use on US highways. The Silver 996 Chassis has a clear US title.
The cars are located on the US South East Coast (South Carolina) and transport of these to the port of Savannah would cost $300, transport to the port of Charleston would cost $500.
