Vehicle description

Offered here is a highly developed Porsche 914-6 Turbo Race Car 2.0L race car. This car has been in storage for 10 years. Need to make room!
This car never ran in a competition. Only testing and development was done. Originally built for PCA Club racing to run in their GT4 category. Right as we were to begin to race the car, the rules were changed and a reduction in displacement was required from 2.1L to 2.0L. Bite in the ass, huh? We did that and then placed the car in the GT3 category but we got on to another project and the car was stored.
If I read the NASA rules correctly, this car would now fit into the German Car Touring Series (GTS) class 5. And that would be with 19 pounds of boost and 150 lbs of ballast. If you want no ballast, just turn the boost down to 15 psi and that would allow you even better engine longevity. See class calculation sheet in photos.
Coming out of storage, the car has had a spark plug change, injector cleaning and matching, and an oil change.
Engine runs. See videos at: https:/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=0olirMlhPfY and https:/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=k69o3pZiSaM and https:/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpIDqouEycs
W hat I would do with it if I kept it:
The ECU is quite outdated. I would put a new, modern ECU. It might even give you more hp and torque since the latest turbo controls are probably superior. Be careful to download and save all the mapping in the Electromotive unit. Those maps were developed over a number of years, expensive, and hard won!
Obviously needs new tires.
Put in new harness, these are out of date for most sanctioning groups.
There are paint chips on nose and paint cracking from rocks thrown up under the fenders from various test sessions over the years.
I have opened the cell and found no deterioration of the foam or the bladder but sanctioning groups may require an update.
Car for local pick-up only in Vero Beach, FL. Sold via bill of sale and original NM title will be provided.
