Vehicle description

Chubby Bird!
Piper PA-23 Apache aircraft. Ferried to Tucson (KTUS) from Sierra Vista in 2013 by a new owner and an annual was underway when the aircraft became tied up in an ownership dispute. It took several years, but the ownership is now clear (and one of the parties is headed to jail for fraud). At the time work stopped, one cylinder on each engine had been replaced due to low compression and new engine control cables had been run. Finishing the annual will include completing the engine control cable installation, replacing the center stack of radios (removed for the control cable install), installation of the interior, and replacement of the missing wingtip nav lights (that someone made off with while the airplane was in ownership limbo). Military style p aint is in pretty decent shape, with the exception of the propeller spinners.
Narco Com IIa and Transponder AT50A currently installed. Two KX-175B nav/coms in trays come with it as well (the items that were pulled from the center stack for running the new cables).
I bought this because I considered it an easy project. Unfortunately, my day job has me slammed right now and I don"t know when I will get the time. So, I"d like to see it in good hands.
Logbooks are available in my Dropbox folder. They end in 1993. The work performed during the aborted annual was not recorded.
Also, in my Dropbox are copies of the FAA records and many more pictures. https:/ www.dropbox.com/sh/0s3g1b5gxtbn9zo/AABxBwS4mpxEz1xZO5wrjViga?dl=0 Aircraft is located at Tucson International (KTUS). Rent is paid until the end of November and is $50 a month thereafter. It may be cold where you are, but Tucson will be a nice place to work outside this winter.
I"m unable to provide estimates to complete or references to mechanics, as KTUS is not my home field. However, I do have access to a wrecked Apache sitting in a friend"s hangar should additional parts be needed to get Chubby Bird ready to fly.
Priced to move with a friendly Buy It Now. Heck, the engines and props are worth this price.
