Sky Scout project from the late Mehlin Smith"s estate (of Brodhead and radial-engine Hatz fame). I"m sure some of the Brodhead fellows will vouch for the workmanship that went into this project. .some of the finest I"ve ever seen. Has been in a cle an, dry garage. BTW, the firewall is signed by Orrin Hoopman (Sr.), Allen Rudolf and Vi Kapler. Includes fuselage and landing gear as shown, plus rudder, elevators, vertical fin, stabilizer and wings. Also fittings and hardware such as bellcrank, rudder bar, engine mount. Includes two wing panels to be built into the three-piece option. (Pics of the wing panels aren"t that great as they are in racks above the garage. Also includes what an overhauled Model A engine with lube lines and a Slick magneto - will need a cylinder head. I am adding into the project a virtually new Sterba 76x46 prop with only eight hours on it. That size and pitch should be about right for a Sky Scout. I"m also including with it an oldie but working Kohlsman altimeter, a new airspeed indicator, oil pressure and water temp gauges. A great winter project for someone to finish and fly.
