I have an all original and perfect working order, California based 1999 Oshkosh M1070 HET for sale. It is all original with 16,000 miles and has never been through reset. I bought it almost 3 years ago from an individual who bought it from the Barstow auction. He bought it with intentions of using as a movie prop, but sat inside a huge shop for the 3 years he owned it. He rarely drove it as he didnt have the proper licensing for it. When I bought it from him, I titled it and registered it here in California for private use. So it has up to date registration and a clear title in hand. I bought it with the intention of turning it into a custom crawler hauler, but Im realizing i have too many projects and not enough time. However, if I don" get close to my asking price then I will just keep it and go through with the build when I can. I"m asking $45,000 or best offer. Please email for questions.
Specs.:
1999 Oshkosh M1070 HET (Heavy Equipment Transporter) with 86,000 GVWR and 231,000 GCWR.
12.1 liter Detroit Diesel engine (500 horsepower) and Allison 5 speed transmission with splitter gears.
8 wheel drive with air actuated front axle. Both front and rear axles steer for a shorter turn radius. All 16.00r20 Michelin XZL tires are in great condition except for one, but still is usable.
Full air suspension in rear for smooth ride.
CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) works perfectly.
Has the dual DP 55,000 pound winches in the rear that work perfectly, including the smaller 3,000 pound winch.
Has a 3.5" 5th wheel and ramps on the back.
And so much more. Everything works great and is in great condition. Just replaced all but one batteries and installed Solargizers, otherwise no modifications made. I gave it a full tune up when I bought it and have only driven it 300 miles since. Runs like a top.
Also comes with some extras like recovery gear, tow lights, air hoses, chains, tools, etc.
The only negatives is that one of the rear ceiling insulation panels came down. .That"s it. There is so much about this vehicle that I am forgetting, so let Google be your best friend.
