Vehicle description
This is The original 21 Foot Travel Trailer that was used in the series American Horror Story Freak Show. We purchased it several years ago from the movie production company and picked it up in Slidell,La. then towed it back to Arizona. When we bought it there was no documentation showing the year or make however after doing a complete restoration I have determined that it is a Pre War trailer probably 1939 or 40. It is built of Aluminum and all the rust and distress was done by the artists at the movie company. The interior has been completely redone including new wiring, plumbing and insulation. We also added a new air conditioner which works very well. The ceiling is done in pressed tin. All the interior woodwork is new and has been treated with 6 to 7 coats of marine varnish. The floor has been replaced with new ply and linoleum tiles. The refrigerator is a 1936 model and works quite well. The couch in the living room came out of a 1953 Vagabond and folds out into a very comfortable bed. The bed in the rear bedroom is a new cast iron model and fits well with the interior theme. I"ve included a framed picture of Twisty the Killer Clown and also some original vintage prints. Besides pulling this trailer all the way from Slidell,La. we have also pulled it to the Pismo Vintage Trailer rally then up to the Sacramento Delta where we camped in it for two weeks. It pulls well and the tires were bought new when we first picked it up. All the running lights and the tail lights have been refurbished and they all work fine. I"m confident enough in it"s roadability that I would entertain delivering it for a reasonable fee. It is registered in Arizona and I have a clear title. Since we could not determine a year or manufacture, ADOT issued me a 2019 title. Two years ago we enter this trailer along with a 1948 Packard Sedan in a local car show. You can watch the YouTube clip by Goggling Bisbee Car Show & Original American Horror Story Trailer or simply Lobster Boy Trailer. You"ll see the car and trailer at 2:58 in the video. I also have the original blue prints from the production company"s art department and a stack of candid 8 x 10 color prints that were taken on set. This is truly a one of a kind trailer which is not only beautiful but also functional. If you have any questions you can call Ed Smith at or Kristine Gale at 520-900-2950.
