Vehicle description
2015 Nissan Micra Cup race car for sale; eligible for Micra Cup, B-Spec, SPC
The Nissan Micra Cup is an entry-level Canadian professional racing series with factory support. As a spec series, tuning adjustments are limited so the focus is on driver skill and development. Races support major events headlined by the NASCAR Truck Series, Pirelli World Challenge, and NASCAR Pinty"s Series. Get a taste of pro racing at the lowest possible price point!
This car was built by Motorsports in Action, the official series build partner, prior to the 2017 season and was campaigned as the #78 in 2017. I purchased the car and ran as the #17 in the 2018 season, finishing 7th in points and posting lap times within a second of the champion. Unfortunately, in the last race my season ended in a tire wall which is why the car is in the state shown in the pictures. It was professionally repaired mechanically and is ready to take the track. The only structural damage was to the rear twist beam, which has been fully replaced. Before racing in the Micra Cup in 2019, the car will need: -Visual finishing, up to the owner to determine how extensive that should be -Minor fiberglass door card repair on driver"s door -New suspension modification for 2019 season (less than $200) Note: car will be sold on the red wheels shown in the on-track picture
I had considered returning to the series this year but have chosen to pursue other opportunities so I am offering the car as-is.
New Micra Cup cars cost $23,400 CAD (~18,000 USD at current exchange rates), so take advantage of this opportunity to purchase a competitive nearly ready-to-race Micra at well over half-off!
More details on the series and the cars can be found here: https:/ www.micracup.com/Micra-Cup-Nissan-Car
Of note, Micra Cup cars were recently made eligible for the SCCA B-Spec class. At Mosport/CTMP, Micra Cup lap times line up perfectly with Pirelli World Challenge TCB.
I am happy to share more details of the car, and would be happy to help facilitate a smooth transition into the Micra Cup series! Or, take advantage of this affordable opportunity to have a unique B-Spec ride!
I could be interested in trades, so send me any offers or questions!
