Vehicle description

Thank you for your interest.
This build is on a 2000 Ford Econoline 450 (E-450) Chassis, with a Collins body. It has the legendary 7.3L Turbo Diesel PowerStroke V8, with only 54,971 original miles on it. It has an automatic transmission, with overdrive.
The bus runs and drives great. Everything is fully operational, and I’d encourage any potential buyer to take it to their mechanic of choice for an inspection. I have recently replaced the blower motor, installed a new windshield, got two brand new 850 CCA engine batteries, and done other minor things to get this rig fully ready for the road. All six tires have good tread. A/C blows ice cold, front and rear. I installed an aftermarket backup camera to make maneuvering easier.
There are no mechanical issues whatsoever— and I’d encourage any potential buyer to take it to their mechanic of choice for an inspection.
This bus was used as a daycare bus in Texas for it’s entire life. This is a new conversion, and has never been lived in. Everything is brand new, no wear and tear on anything. Still has that fresh wood smell inside.
The bus was completely stripped down at the beginning of the conversion; there are no remnants of anything from its school bus days. The ceiling, walls, and floors are all insulated with rigid foam boards for comfort in a wide range of climates. The roof is painted with Henry’s Tropi-Cool roof coating, to help keep the bus cool in the sunlight. All the floors and walls are finished with thick tongue and groove wooden planks for a true log cabin like feel. Throughout the entire bus is waterproof sheet vinyl flooring.
One of my favorite things about this conversion is the full size, residential style exterior door on the passenger side (see photos). It is 24” x 80”, has a standard door handle, and an electronic deadbolt. The glass is double pane safety glass. Speaking of safety… there is a smoke detector and fire extinguisher mounted inside.
There is a Full XL (54” x 80”) bed in the rear, and seating for two on the couch in the front.
The couch seat bottom flips up to reveal a large storage area underneath. There is a TON of useful and practical storage throughout the bus. Underneath the kitchen counter, there is a pull-out drawer, and two cabinets that swing open. To the right of the kitchen counter, there are two pantry-like cabinets. Between the couch and the toilet are 4 large drawers, and a double deep pantry like cabinet. Under the bed are two more large drawers. (See photos) All of the drawers/cabinets have heavy duty magnets on them so that they do not swing open when driving the bus.
Inside the bus is a private bathroom with a brand new, never used, Nature’s Head composting toilet. Across from this, also inside the bus, is a comfortable 32” x 32” shower, fully tiled and waterproofed, with a nice shelf, window that opens, and a luxurious waterfall showerhead.
As for the plumbing, there is a 75- gallon freshwater tank located inside the bus, and a 27-gallon gray water tank mounted underneath the bus. There is an electric water heater from Bosch. There is a quiet electric water pump to provide water pressure to the shower and kitchen sink.
There are four 12-volt deep cycle AGM batteries each rated at 88 AH, for a total of 352 AH of battery capacity. On the roof are 400W of Renogy solar panels, which are tied to a 40A MPPT charge controller. For cloudier days, there is an additional 25A charger that you can plug into a land-based power source. There is a AC port on the outside of the bus to “plug the bus in”.
There is a 3000W pure sine wave inverter, with peak/surge power of 6000W. This powers all of your 120V electronics and appliances. There are power outlets with USB ports all over the bus. There are also about a dozen 12-volt recessed LED lights (warm white) throughout.
The kitchen area features a 6-foot countertop, and tons of storage. There is a refrigerator/freezer combo with 4 cubic feet (113L) of refrigerator space, and 1 cubic foot (28L) of freezer space. There is also a nearly 8-foot-long shelf above the entire kitchen space, as seen in photos.
The bus is currently located in Seattle, WA. That being said, I can drive and deliver the bus anywhere in the continental USA, at any time, as my schedule is very flexible.
Thank you very much for bearing with me. Thank you for your interest and your time spent reading this. I hope I was informative, thorough, and did not forget anything.
