Up for auction is my M274 Mechanical Mule in wonderful condition. Serial number 1168 . This Mule was purchased from Mechanical Mules of America, MMA is the only supplier in the United States who has all original complete Mules for sale that are not built from spare parts. This unit was purchased from Mechanical Mules of America approx. 10 years ago (mechanicalmulesofamerica.com 406-961-4024).MMA purchased a warehouse full of these units directly from the USMC located in Barstow California. MMA replaced all seals and bearings that needed replacing due to being stored. They repainted it and put new data plates with the correct serial number before the sale. I purchased the Commander Model which is 4x4 with 4-wheel steer making it very maneuverable in tight spaces. The Commander model also has two seats and two foot baskets so two people can ride with ease. Other options I added include: installing a 2" receiver hitch with a 2500lb Warn Winch with quick disconnect electrical connections and a remote control. a underbody tool box, a full electric system that has one rear 55 watt halogen light and two forward facing 55 watt halogen lights. I just replaced the original tires last year, with new ones that are made from the original molds from the USMC, to keep the Mule original as possible. Also installed a new battery last year. Extra parts I have for the Mule are a multi ball hitch and adapter, 2 fuel filters, 2 breather filters, belts, 4 extra wheel seals, tire iron, winch remote & manuals and 4 extra spark plugs. Sadly I have decided to let my Mule go as it doesn’t get used but once or twice a year.The Mule starts, idles and runs perfectly. This is not a pieced together vehicle or old warm out unit, starts every time and is always dependable to run the kids around the yard & 2 parades, and that’s the most use it’s had. It has a few scratches on the bed and bed rail, from a chairs being sat on the bed for rides, that could use some OD touch up to make it cosmetically mint again. I have always kept fuel stabilizer in the gas tank and kept battery on a battery tender and Garage stored. I have this item for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.
