A very rare 1973 M44 class C fire fighting pumper 6x6 Deuce truck. This truck looks as if it was taken out of a museum, but was actually in use with a southern Iowa fire department. Has a super low 7690 miles and 485 hours of run time showing on the gauges. Has super single 14.5 R 20 Michelin radial tires. The taller tires give it a better ride and a bit more road speed. Powered by the legendary 465 non turbo multi-fuel diesel engine. Options are: Hard top cab cover, Cab heater, Spring ride drivers seat, An extra main power shut off switch, Air en gauge front end switch( to lock in frond end),and added a set of spin on oil filters. This is a fire fighting powered pumper truck with foam and water, 750 GPM capacity. A centrifugal pump that is power take off driven. Has a stainless steel 400 gallon water tank and a 40 gallon foam chemical tank. there is a booster reel on each side of the bed, ( two reels) with 150 foot of 1 inch hose. Don"t forget the spray cannon mounted on top the bed! Truck has 4 spot lights, and the spinning red cab light that all work. Nice treated wood on top of the water tank walking or storage area. Has new turn signal flasher, New park brake cable, and two new Interstate military style 6TL batteries. If you are a fireman or a collector of fire related items, this is a super rare find! We have had many questions about the pump system on this 6x6 fire truck. So we added the fallowing information: There is no pump certification paper work with the truck. Also we did try to pump with the truck, and the main inlet valve is stuck in the closed position. The PTO works fine but we could not get any water to any of the outlets. The hose real motors work fine retracting the hoses back in, but we can"t get any water pumping with out this valve opened. This is a very nice shaped old fire truck, but it will need some attention to be used as a fire pumper again. This is the last time this truck will be listed on e-bay. Thank you for the questions!
