What you see is actually a 1970 VW that was rebodied in the 70s as a 1952 MGTD. It has a 1600 VW engine with a new clutch, recent tires and top. it runs well and definitely attracts attention I drove it back to Lakeland from Tampa a year ago but getting older now and need garage space not as capable as I once was doing projects. It has a clear 1970 VW title. On Jun-11-21 at 09:37:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Got a question on if I would trust a trip with the car. I drove it back from Duneden to home in Lakeland Florida when I got it - about about 60 miles. The car did fine but the clutch was awful. I thought it had a 1200 motor in it but when I took it to a VW mechanic to put in a new clutch I found out it not only had a 1600 in it but independent rear suspension, not swing axles. the larger motor explains why I could maintain 70 MPH on I 4 to home. It also took a Karmen Ghia heavier clutch, not a standard VW of that year. My cell 202-498-1462.
