Vehicle description
1971 Mercury Montego road race car. The owner had over $80,000 invested in this car over the years. It appears the motor was last built in 2009. I have receipts for $13,500 in parts and machine work, including a Crower billet crank, CVrowercustom ground cam, Ross racing pistons to name a few parts. Plus the cost of Blue Thunder aluminum heads, SVO 460 block, Dominator intake and carb, dry sump oiling system, blow proof bell, hydraulic clutch, and Jerrico 4 speed. Right there is $20,000 easy. the engine runs and is a beast. Can hear run! You also get the whole car. The cock pit cage appears ok. the front and rear bars are bent. I don"t believe the body is salvageable so I"m selling for parts. The Jerrico Trans has overdrive installed however the housing broke in the crash so it will need a new housing or just removed to use it.
The car has 4 wheel disc brakes, and modified suspension which is mostly bent. I have three racing rear assemblies with axles. It has a blow proof bell and hydraulic clutch. The real is a 3.25 "N" case posi.
The motor starts right up and runs strong. All the gauges appear to be working. You also get the wheels and tires which are like new. The car rolls with a winch. I have specs on most, if not all, of the engine parts. The heads were ported and polished and I have flow results. It has two racing seats with harnesses and a removable steering wheel.
Crower roller Cam- Intake Duration 302 Lift 768 Exhaust Duration 311 Lift 770 Crower Roller Lifters Crower Billet crank Ross pistons 13.6 compression Stroke 4.500 Bore 4.396 Rods 6.8 546 cubic inches! estimated 600 HP. Extra parts include two racing rear end assemblies with axles. 429 4 bolt main block with screw in freeze plugs, crower billet crank, extra roller rockers, 429 standard crank, Weiand high rise intake manifold, various steel braided hoses.
