WE ARE NOT CAR / VEHICLE PROFESSIONALS. . We are much better with guns and gun parts. Please understand this is a description prepared by someone who has never driven or worked on one. The year of manufacture is just a guess. We have no paperwork on it and the inside of the cab has been painted and I see no identifying labels. The year of manufacture is approximate, and both the engine size and model are just a guess. There is NO title or registration and currently it is NOT running. Been years since it probably did.Manufacturer: Mercedes BenzModel: 404S Unimog Radio BoxDescription: Again, not a car guy. . This is a 4x4 Unimog with a manual transmission and gasoline engine. We had to flatbed trailer it to it"s current resting spot. This was an honest Barn Find. We were told that it did run a number of years ago, but the exact date is unknown. The extra batteries for the radio box are corroded and deteriorated. The gas tank has very little old gas at the bottom, a little rusty, no holes though it, should be flushed and painted. The spark plug cables are deteriorated. There might be other issues we are unaware of. There is a compartment for two batteries we think is for the motor, empty and no notable corrosion. The tires were filled enough to move it, and after sitting for about two weeks we have not seen much change in the pressure. There is cracking to the tires, they should be replaced. Cosmetics: It is painted a camo pattern. It is dusty and dirty. There are parts with rust and some are missing completely - such as the mirrors. Some of the doors don"t latch properly, hinges are frozen or stiff. The canvas cab cover has completely deteriorated and only a few pieces remain. The engine cover for the cab is missing. The seats are ripped, dashboard painted, the interior paint is flaking and many other problems . you get the idea. . it needs an overhaul. There are too many tiny issues to list, but for the right person this would be a great GREAT project! Mechanical: We did not test the mechanics. The truck rolls in neutral. Don"t expect to drive it out of the lot, you will need to use a trailer or tow it when you pick it up. Our shop is walking distance to multiple mechanics shops. If you buy it, it can"t stay here. Please make arrangements to haul it away. Condition: The truck is definitely used and in Fair to Poor condition. If you have the time, heart, and looking for a fun fix-me-up challenging project, this truck is for you. Or if you want to park it out for a display that would work too!
