Alrighty, finally time to do something with my Bus. I purchased this bus last March with a partner in the hopes of converting into a touring motor coach but we have since decided to go a different route as we just don"t have time to complete the project. We purchased the bus in Jarvisburg, NC and drove it home without a problem to Fresno, CA. It has been parked since. I put brand new batteries in it the other day, bus starts up right away, runs and drives great. Has a Detroit Series 60 Motor and Allison B500 Transmission. It does appear that the Motor has been overhauled as it is very clean and the prior dealer said it had been. Doesn"t seem like there are any oil leaks. We did add oil and coolant and everything ran without a hitch back to California. Windows are framed, not frame-less.
Please understand that this bus is completely gutted inside. No seats, no bins, no racks, and the bathroom has been removed. We purchased it from a company that was converting it into a party bus, but they had a falling out and it was perfect for what we wanted. It does have the stair rail, some panels, etc. that are stored under the bus. It does still have the A/C condenser and a brand new fan unit (that is worth decent money to pull out and sell if doing roof air). There is a driver seat and we installed a temporary RV seat so we had somewhere for both of us to sit.
Mechanically everything runs well. There are a few minor issues, one being that the instrument cluster is kind of a ? as to it"s accuracy. The speedometer arrow fell off. It wasn"t a problem for us as we had a Garmin GPS with speed on it that we were using and I had planed to upgrade the dash to all digital anyways. There is very little rust if any, and everything else seems to function as it should. Obviously the radio was pulled out as they had planned on putting in a sound system.
The story told to us was that they purchased this bus from Sawyer"s Bus sales in Florida in 2016 for $64,000. The guy"s nephew worked for a major conversion outfit in Florida and they formed a partnership to convert a few buses. They started working in everything, got everything gutted and were working on interior, but ultimately it didn"t work out.
Bus is sold as-is and where is. Title in hand.
If you have any questions, you can feel free to email me. I can also be reached via call or text @ 559-930-2551. I am not a bus expert and everything I know about the bus is stated above. So please read the description, multiple times if need be before contacting me. Serious buyers only with the ability to pay NOW. I cannot finance or take payments. $500 non-refundable payment due immediately with buy it now. Full payment within 7 days of buy it now via Wire Transfer, cash, or a certified check from a verifiable MAJOR bank, like BofA or Wells Fargo that has a branch we can take it to.
I have this priced EXTREMELY LOW for quick sale. I don"t believe I have seen an EL3 model ever sell for this cheap. This won"t last long, subject to prior sell.
Thanks everyone, Kit Hannah
