This 1996 MCI 55 passenger coach was a trade in on another bus. When it came to us it had a noticeable oil leak from the engine that we would not let pass. We pulled the engine out of the bus, found the leak (between the head and bull gear case). We removed the head, repaired the problem, did an inspection of the inside of the engine, replaced the cam bearings, replaced the head gasket. No other work needed. This is a strong running Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine, Allison B500 automatic transmission
We have limited history on the bus but we know the transmission was replaced in 2010 and this bus was operated on a short route casino shuttle. Approximately 15,000 miles per year. The tires are all deep rubber, the brakes are new on the drive axle and tags. The fronts are very thick too. Bus has a Restroom There is a Video system with 6 monitors. It has a VHS and DVD video player and it does power up.
The seats are at the end of their life as some have splits. Driver"s seat is very good. It is a trade in with lots of potential. I have many more photos for a serious buyer. The photo of the engine shows what it really looks like because my shop takes pride in what they have done - not just a spray over.
