This auction is for a 1998 MCI Motor Coach Industries MC12 motor coach with a Detroit Diesel S50 8.5L engine and an automatic Allison 500 transmission.
Manufactured by MCI as a prison transport bus. It includes 6 lockable cells with a single seat in each cell and 19 double seats (38 seats) for a total capacity of 44 passengers. One driver"s chair and one jump seat also. Stainless steel bathroom area with toilet. Lots of storage underneath bus. Good tires. Runs great. Ready to go anyplace you might like to go. Also has police receiver radios in one of the storage compartments.

Engine has approx. 508150 miles. Mileage may be a tiny bit more as bus may be driven during auction listing.
There is a coolant drip from the coolant filter when running. The drivers side airbag inflates and deflates slower than the rest, so probably has a small leak. But it does lift the bus to the correct height when the air pressure is built up. The air does not blow cold. It needs a speed sensor. There is some bumps and scrapes on the bus. You can see in photos. The worst of which is on one of the rear storage compartment doors, but does not affect the functionality of the door.
This would make an awesome conversion project. It is a great rig and drives great down the road. I have too many projects and cannot take on this conversion right now. So it is just sitting and I hate to leave it sitting. It was taken out of service by the state of Tennessee earlier this year.
