M274 A2 US Army Mechanical Mule, 4-wheel-steering, 4WD, electric start, headlight. Great vehicle for farm, ranch, military reenactment, hunting, construction "workbench" platform, hauling wood, orchards, etc. Built to carry 1000 lb. wherever you want to go. Can be switched to 2-wheel-steering. Tires have cracking but hold air well. Transmission Hi-Lo shifter is currently tied into Lo range because it would slip out of low. Hi range does work. New folding seat. The mule is in good running condition.
The Army Mule was originally designed during WW2 by Willys Overland, but the war ended before it could be produced. Built for a 1/2 ton capacity, the Mule was made to carry twice as much as the army jeep. When fitted with a snorkel, the mule was made to be run underwater through a river if necessary. Fun and extremely useful part of American history.
