Vehicle description
This Vietnam era Mule was delivered to USMC in June 1968. This is an older restoration about 10 years ago. Electric start and alternator were added, along with new tires and drivers seat. The fuel tank was replaced with a new stainless steel tank. A demilled 106 recoilless rifle with a 50 mm spotting rifle was added that meets ATF standards. There are 4 106 dummy rounds included along with PR 25 radio. The mule cranks and runs good. The gaskets on the wheels need to be replaced as they have started to leak. After all they are 50 years old. The mule had been housed in a military museum for the last 7 years. The photos are older photos and the wooden block holding the barrel of the 106 has been replaced with correct travel lock. The barrel was cut into three sections and was professionally rewelded. Just in front of the breech on the under side of the barrel is the required hole to meet ATF requirements. Inside the barrel are two spikes. The 50 cal. spotting rifle was also rewelded. The sight system is not on the gun and I do not have it. The spare ammo carriers are with the mule but not attached.
