Vehicle description
Lightweight but heavy duty all aluminum military M1102 trailer. Manufactured in 1997. Excellent overall condition. Converted for civilian use in spring of 2018. This included:
Removal of 5” spacers between torsion axel and frame.
Swapped out heavy 37” military tires and run flat rims for much lighter 32” tires and painted Dodge Ram alloy wheels.
Bows and original vinyl / cloth soft top lowered 10”.
Overall the height was reduced 17.5” allowing for level towing, less wind drag and it can be parked in standard garage.
Spare tire mount bolted to existing 2” front mount.
Rear step up bolted to existing 2” rear mount.
All lghts converted to 12volt with LED lights in back for brakes and turn signals.
Wiring converted from military to civilian 4 pin. New junction box allows easy conversion to 7 pin if wanted.
Installed 2 heavy duty deep cycle marine batteries ($660 value). Interior of trailer is wired with 2 overhead LED lights and has 4 12v sockets for all your portable electronics. Two 2 speed Fans installed.
Other things also done:
New zippers installed to back opening and some small nicks in top repaired. Top is water tight and also has a Velcro seal along bottom to keep out bugs.
New OEM shocks installed
New hub bearings installed and brakes serviced.
Attachable soft top extension to rear soft top flap allows for large awning as seen in pics.
Trailer is currently titled and registered in CA.
Will include pintle hitch that fits a standed 2” tow receiver.
