Vehicle description

Are the long hours and angry clients taking their toll? Be your own boss! I have a Laboit Veterinary vehicle for sale. This practice vehicle is specially designed for ambulatory practice and surgery. Fully equipped for anesthesia and surgery, it incorporates everything required for the small animal practitioner. Based on a Ford E-350 chassis, this is a rugged, reliable spacious practice vehicle with which to start or expand your mobile practice.
The Ford V-10 engine provides plenty of power with decent fuel economy, and it features a separate surgery suite in accordance with Virginia state law. It drives about the same as an SUV, and a backup camera, GPS automatic transmission and cruise control help you navigate traffic and parking situations with ease. You will have plenty of storage for all your supplies, an onboard vacuum help cut down on the fur load and two stainless steel holding pens allow for recovery and transport of even the largest mastiff in comfort and safety. Onboard heat and air conditioning work well to keep you comfortable no matter what the weather. The non skid floor assures good footing but is surprisingly easy to clean, and all drawers and closets have positive locks to assure that they stay shut on the road. It has an Onan generator, refrigerator, hot and cold water, separate surgery room, overhead air conditioner, wall heater, bathroom (converted to storage), and the following contents:
Large dog walk on scale
Surgical autoclave
4 portable oxygen e-tanks
Surgivet Anesthetic gas evacuation system
Hydraulic surgery table with tilt (flat top)
6 inch wet table with laminate removable cover
Xray viewer light box
Surgical Medical illuminator (This was an added accessory from LaBoit. There is also a smaller
one installed over the wet table.
4 sundry jars
There is a large, dividable cage below the refrigerator that is laminate with stainless steel doors. I have always
brought crates for cages, and also had people bring their animals (for surgeries) in their own carrier. If you do
a lot of surgeries, I would recommend doing this.
The good - The chassis is solid, and the quality construction is evident throughout. It has many years and many appointments of life left in it. You will not be disappointed.
The bad - The engine has 230,000 miles on it, and it will need major service soon, but even an engine transplant runs $7,000, dealer quote. The house battery needs replacement and the generator has not been started in several months, and may need service. You will need a new inverter, as it is not providing AC power. The roof will need to be caulked, there is a leak around the vent seal. The tires are good, but it will need an alignment. Note that the anesthesia vaporizer seen in the photos is not included.
We are selling because I no longer need two veterinary vehicles, and I never really liked doing surgery, so it will go to a new home. If you have ever considered mobile practice, now is the time!
