1948 John Deere Model A and 20-foot Trailer For sale is a 1948 John Deere Model A Styled row tractor, the serial number tag is fully in place. It was restored a little over two-years ago. Just recently either the head gasket has blown, or the valve tube(s) rusted through; per a forum most think it’s the head gasket. Other than the engine problem, the tractor is in very good condition and the three-point hitch and power take-off all work: Tires are only a few years old, It has been converted to 12-volts, New battery, New plugs, wires, coil, It ran well prior to the engine top end problem. Also included is the trailer for the tractor. It is 2015 dual axle 20-foot trailer. I have clear title. It has a heavy duty 8500-pound winch that is charged via a solar cell. One year ago, it had full service at Big Tex that consisted of a new light set, a new heavy duty 8000-pound jack and the wheel hubs were lubed. The brakes were also verified to be fine. Total cost of this service was $580.79. It has a current safety inspection by the State of Texas. I just don’t have the time or energy to repair the Deere, so I’m selling at a loss; I have well over $7000 in the pair. This is a great opportunity for someone that is handy with 2-cylinder JD repairs. The pair are located in Georgetown, TX (north of Austin).
