Vehicle description
After the untimely death of a family member in 1981 this Jeep was placed in storage. I removed it a few months ago and made repairs to update it to running condition and participate in our local 4 th of July celebration (new seat covers for the parade). Jeep is a MB 1945 with date of delivery 2-12-45. Jeep was a project of an army veteran who rebuilt it sometime in the 1969 to 1973 time period as a hobby. The family member purchasing it was active in what was known at the time as "The Confederate Air Force" stationed in South Texas. Jeep was used to ferry the B-29 crews around the flight line during air shows. Jeep is an excellent project for restoration, most of the rare hard to find hardware is present. Jeep starts and runs, shifts through all the gears with dash instruments working. Buyer must be aware this Jeep was reconditioned as a hobby by an amateur some 45 plus years ago. Areas of rust in the floor area were plated over and painted. Exterior paint is showing age and starting to peel in various areas. I have posted a picture of the engine serial number 4LR113858. Jeep has clear Texas Bonded title. Jeep is at a place of business available for inspection Monday through Friday, after hours with prior notice. Jeep is sold strictly AS-IS-WHERE-IS no warranty. At the time of pickup if you don"t like what you see I will refund your money, once you leave with the Jeep the deal is done, no refunds or returns.
